[Fade in from black to a snazzy looking AWA ACCESS logo. It looks like
someone's been learnin' Illustrator! I bet it's that Jason Dane kid.
He seems like a real smart cookie, a fast learner, and a go-getter with
worlds of potential.

It also seems like he's standing in front of a kinda cheesy looking CGI
green screen backdrop with the same logo on it. He's in a black polo
with the AWA logo stitched over the breast pocket and seems quite cheery
for someone who is habitually verbally abused by the masses.]

JD: Hello everyone and welcome to a very special edition of AWA Access!
We are coming to you from our old home in the WKIK Studios for what
promises to be a lot of fun.

Earlier this week, the AWA's top stars were in Laredo, Texas, Oklahoma
City, and Little Rock, Arkansas with tons of hot action. And tonight,
we plan to bring you highlights from all three shows as well as comments
from many AWA competitors.

Up first, we're heading to Laredo, Texas where the Laredo Energy Arena
hosted the American Wrestling Alliance for an awesome night of action -
including more matches in the tournament to crown the first Longhorn
Heritage Champion. Let's go down to ringside now...

[We crossfade to footage marked, "OCTOBER 21 - LAREDO ENERGY ARENA."
There is a cheering crowd roaring as the show begins. We can see the
standard AWA ring in the middle of the building surrounded by rope
"barricades." The aisleway has the more traditional metal railings but
lacks the elevated ramp used at some AWA events. A quick fade shows
Jason Dane in a similar outfit to what we just saw.]

JD: WE! ARE! LIVE.. in Laredo, Texas for another big night of AWA
action! These fans are pumped and so am I so let's head backstage for
some opening comments by one of the men who we'll be seeing in
tournament action later tonight - LWC legend Robert Donovan!

[The camera abruptly cuts to the back, where Robert Donovan stands,
dressed to hit the ring. He looks up at the camera and chuckles briefly
before launching into whatever words he's prepared for the evening.]

RD: Seems I've said a lot o' things along the line of, "I don't know
this guy, but..." an' here I am, about to say it again...'cept this time
I've got a lil' insight, at least.

[Donovan rubs his chin briefly.]

RD: Maybe it's comin' back to Laredo after a long, long absence...but
I'm feelin' confident about tonight, confident that I'm gonna beat Jack
Holland an' be one of the last four left in this tournament. Now, Jack,
before ya get offended, don't get me wrong -- I expect you'll give me a
hell of a fight tonight before I put you down, an' I'd guess right now
you're thinkin' you'll be the one doin' the puttin' down. That's fine
-- anyone who walks into a match thinkin' anything else is gonna get
beat, plain and simple...but, see, Jack, you're already in a little bit
of a hole.

[Brief pause.]

RD: This tournament, it's to crown the AWA's first Longhorn Heritage
Champ -- a belt meant to honor and celebrate the history of the Longhorn
Wrestling Council, which was never real big but made a hell of a mark on
the industry anyhow. Now, I don't know if you ever followed the LWC,
Jack, but we had a lot of nicknames roll through there over the years.
Cowboys, Blackhearts, Suicide Kids, you name it, it rolled through there
at some point...but, well..

[Donovan laughs.]

RD: Ain't ever had no "Gentleman" come into the Longhorn Wrestling
Council, Holland. Wanna know why? It's pretty simple...

[Donovan coughs.]

RD: Ain't no "Gentleman" who was worth a damn woulda made it, plain an'
simple.

[We fade from Donovan up to the ring where "Superstar" Kevin Slater is
in the ring with Jesse Ewiak, stomping the Last Good Man into the
canvas.]

JD: Kevin Slater putting the boots to Ewiak, right off the bat here in
this one. Slater's showing a bit of the dirty tactics we can expect to
see in about four weeks at SuperClash when he climbs into that big
Outlaw Rules match with Bobby Taylor.

[Slater delivers a baseball slide kick to the ribs, putting Ewiak out on
the floor. He quickly scales the ropes, leaping off with an overhead
elbow smash across the back of Ewiak's head. The assault continues with
kicks and stomps on the floor as we cut to later in the match...

...where Ewiak has Slater on the run, whipping him from corner to
corner, the crowd counting them off until Slater's hit all four buckles.
He staggers back to the middle of the ring where a big sideslam puts
him down for a two count.]

JD: Two count only on that one! Ewiak is trying to kill some of
Slater's momentum heading into SuperClash and possibly even earn himself
a spot in the Steal The Spotlight showcase. That match takes on even
greater importance this year as any survivors will earn themselves ANY
match of their choosing whether that's a title match or not.

[Ewiak pulls Slater up by the hair, firing him off the ropes, and
cocking his right arm back...

...but Slater ducks, hooking the arm, and floating over into a spiking
DDT!]

JD: Floatover DDT! Shades of Slater's former friend and ally Luke
Steele!

[With Ewiak laid out, we cut to later in the match...

...where we find Slater climbing the ringropes, looking out over the
crowd. Reaching the top rope, he pauses, and then leaps from his perch,
burying an elbowsmash down into the heart!]

JD: THE ELBOW OFF THE TOP CONNECTS!! And that should do it right
there, fans...

[Slater covers as the referee counts two... but pulls Ewiak up before
the three count falls.]

JD: He pulls him up! Slater's not done with Jesse Ewiak yet!

[The former Wild Thing yanks Ewiak into a front facelock, smirking at
the jeering crowd...

...and SPIKES Ewiak skullfirst into the canvas!]

JD: CATTLEBUSTER!! That'll do it!

[The ref counts one... two... three... and raises the victorious
Slater's hand in victory as we fade back to the locker room area.

We go to the backstage area where Jason Dane and Wade Kennedy stand in
front of a black backdrop with ‘American Wrestling Alliance’ splashed
across it in red, white and blue. The young Kennedy is ready for action.
The blonde headed Texan is decked out in simple blue generic wrestling
trunks, blue knee pads with blue and white cowboy style wrestling boots
with a blue bandana wrapped around each of his wrists that rest on his
hips. Kennedy as his head down and nodding as Dane informs the crowd.]

JD: Folks, I’m standing back here with the young man who shocked
everyone in the AWA with a win over Adrian Freeman in the Longhorn
Heritage title tournament. Many are calling that one of the best matches
they have seen in quite some time.

[Wade nods at Kennedy with that trademark smile on his face.]

WK: I’ll tell ya what Jason. Whatever they say about Adrian Freeman is
one hundred percent true! People can talk about how he runs with the
Syndicate, but the next thing that should be coming out of people’s
mouth is that when he has to do it alone, he can go with anybody in this
sport and I’ll be the first to step up and back that claim up! Did I
surprise a lot of people Jason? [nods] I’m sure I did. It is definitely
the biggest win of my career and one that I am very proud of. My hats
off to Adrian Freeman, no matter how much of a dirt bag people seem to
think you are. We fought fair and we fought hard and you can’t ask for
more then that!

[Kennedy focuses on the camera as it zooms in on his face. The Texan is
no longer smiling as he continues.]

WK: But with that being said. Aside from me not being able to lift my
arm for over a week due to the pounding my ribs took in that match, I
still had my hand raised in victory. The goal is the still the same as
it was over two weeks ago. Have my hand raised in victory JD, and have
that Longhorn Heritage title draped over my shoulder.

JD: In just few moments you have another stiff test in the form of Brent
Maverick. A man who is considered on of the favourites of this
tournament.

[Wade nods along as JD talks. He rubs at his chin, a small smile
returning to his lips.]

WK: It seems like the same story JD. Adrian Freeman was a favourite to
win as well. I know it’s not a coincidence that nobody believes in Wade
Kennedy. I know it’s not the cool thing to do to put your hard earned
money on the name Wade Kennedy to win this tournament.

[Wade slaps JD on the shoulder.]

WK: So all I can do is keeping going out there and giving everything I
got JD. The biggest strength anybody has is believing in yourself, and I
have that from the top of my head to the tip of my toes because if I
didn’t, I might as well not even be out here doing what I love.

[Wade looks at the camera again.]

WK: I know Brent Maverick is a tough customer. I know he has a name in
this business and he is somebody I respect. He comes out every night to
fight and gives it all he’s got. But what I think everybody is not
realizing is that I do the same. Every night in and night out I thrive
at being my best and never giving up. You can blame that on the way I
was brought up or what have you. But it is a great trait to have and one
I’m proud to display. I know everyone is rooting for you to topple this
young rookie Brent [nods head] and if I were betting man it would be
hard for me not to put my money on you. But you can bet your bottom
dollar Brent, that I’m not going out without a fight. I can tell you
that when that bell rings I will be giving it my all because that is the
only way I know.

[Wade looks at JD]

WK: And hopefully after I beat Brent Maverick tonight JD.

[shrugs]

WK: Hopefully a lot more people will believe in me too.

[Wade Kennedy walks off as we return to the main arena where Brent
Maverick is at ringside with a house mic, prior to his match with Wade
Kennedy. Maverick, clad in his rust-red knee-length trunks, red leather
laceless boots, fingerless brown gloves, and brown leather vest,
addresses the crowd, as he is the first to the ring.]

BM: I'm out here tonight on account of there might be hope yet in this
world.

Out of all these lazy, shortcuttin' punks that come down the pipe tryin'
ta get everything handed to them instead of doin' what they need ta do
to GET it, we do still get a few that believe in earnin' their keep.
One of them young men is Wade Kennedy... an' tonight, he's gotta chance
ta earn one helluva prize for himself.

[Maverick walks to the aisleway, and addresses the backstage curtain;
and by extension, whoever is back there.]

BM: Kennedy! I know yer back in gorilla position, so you lissen ta me.

A lot of punks in this sport, if they were standin' where I was right
now about ta fight a young man for a shot at ten pounds o' gold, would
tell ya ta stay home. Stay home on account of they were gonna hurt ya
real bad. An' the fact is... I _am_ gonna hurt ya real bad. Yer
between me an' means... between me an' puttin' my kids in school...
betwen me an' takin' my wife out ta a nice dinner... all told, yer in a
real, real bad place ta be. When you come out here, I'm gonna ball up
these fists an' FIGHT. I'm gonna knock yer face in, kick yer teeth out,
an' I promise you that I will show you neither pity nor mercy. An' you
got two choices on howta react when it happens.

Ya kin be like that ninety percent of worthless rats in this sport, an'
run. Maybe gang up. Maybe get some friends and run a numbers game.
Maybe you'd git lucky an' squeak by.

Or ya kin be like that worthwhile ten percent, stand up, an' take care
of YOUR family, YOURSELF. Ya kin realize that Brent Maverick is between
you an' yer 401k... between you an' gittin' that nice gold ring ta put
aroun' yer wife's finger... between you an' the things you need ta live
yer life. An' ya kin stand up on yer own two feet, throw that 'aw
shucks' out th' door, an' take control. Whether it's by fightin' or
technical wrestlin' or flyin' around don't matter. What matters is YOU
do it. Yerself.

I say this, because I got my ear ta th' ground. Young men like you,
like Supernova, like Eric Preston... all them crook managers get big
dollar signs in they eyes when they see ya. They keep whisperin' in yer
ears about how easy their way is. How easy it all comes tagethah, when
ya sign up an' join their band. An' we see th' gullible ones jump at
this every day: Nenshou, th' Samoans, Sharif, an' so on. But in th'
end, all it gits ya is a missin chunk o'paycheck an' a second-class
citizenship.

But don' take my word for it. Ask Rapheal Rhodes how his year went.

So bring whutever it is ya got, Kennedy. I promise ya I brought mine.
An' when this match is over, yer gonna look in a mirror an' know ya was
in a fight. Yer gonna look in a mirror an' see puffed up eyes. Yer
gonna look in a mirror an' see a fat lip, a gap tooth, an' th'
fresh-made scar where a man made ya bleed. But that ain't important...

...what's important? Ya kin still look that man in that mirror in the
eye, an' say "I am a man"!

It's twenty times more'n half of th' trash in this sport can ever say.

[Brent drops the mic, and rolls in the ring as we cut to deeper into the
match with the two fan favorites squaring off in the middle of the
ring.]

JD: Kennedy wrenching in on the side headlock, trying to wear down
Brent Maverick here. Maverick's definitely got the experience edge and
you can bet he'll try to take advantage of that in this one.

[Maverick wraps his arms around the waist of Kennedy, trying to shove
him off to the ropes but Kennedy cinches in on the headlock, refusing to
be pushed away. Dragging Maverick out to the middle, Kennedy increases
the pressure, torquing over and over on it. Maverick again goes to
throw him off but goes nowhere as Kennedy cranks down on the neck. Out
in the center of the ring, Maverick finally gives up, hoisting Kennedy
up into the air, dropping him down on the back of the head with a back
suplex to break the side headlock...

...and we cut to later in the match where Maverick leaps into the air,
driving an elbow down across the throat of Kennedy. He hooks a leg for
a two count but the young lion slips the shoulder up at two. Grabbing
Kennedy by the hair, Maverick delivers punch after punch after punch to
the temple before shoving Kennedy back down for another pin attempt.
But the shoulder comes up again as we cut to later in the match.]

JD: Kennedy hoists Maverick up - shinbreaker!

[Maverick bounces away, hitting the mat hard and clutching his leg.
With a shout to the crowd, Kennedy lifts the leg off the mat, spinning
it into a toehold before dropping back in the figure four!]

JD: FIGURE FOUR!! HE'S GOT IT HOOKED!!

[In the background, we hear a call of "FOUR MINUTES REMAIN!"]

JD: We're six minutes into it and Brent Maverick's trapped in the
figure four leglock! Kennedy's been working that leg for a couple of
minutes now and this will REALLY turn up the pressure! Even if Maverick
can survive the hold, how much damage will have been done to his leg?
Can he hit something like the running Death Valley Driver - the Acey
Deucy - with a damaged leg?

[Maverick struggles against the figure four, first trying to drag
himself towards the ropes using his elbows but failing to do so.]

JD: The veteran's having trouble escaping this dangerous hold - with
every second he's trapped in it, more damage is being done to the right
knee.

[With clenched teeth, Maverick sits up, throwing a right hand at Kennedy
who uses his arms to push his body up off the mat. A second haymaker
knocks Kennedy backwards and allows Maverick to quickly roll to the
side, reversing the pressure.]

JD: HE REVERSES IT!! MAVERICK REVERSES IT!!

[The hold is only on for a bit before Maverick keeps rolling, slipping
right out of the hold and out to the floor as we fade to later in the
match just as the call of "TWO MINUTES REMAIN!" is heard.

Inside the ring, Kennedy and Maverick are trading big haymakers to
deafening cheers from the crowd. A quick knee to the gut doubles up
Maverick. Kennedy quickly grabs the arm, firing him into the ropes, and
taking flight with a big dropkick on the chin that sends Maverick down
to the mat where Kennedy applies a quick cover.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! NOOOO! JUST A TWO COUNT!!

[A frustrated Kennedy throws up three fingers but gets a shake of the
head from the referee. Kennedy hauls Maverick off the mat by the hair,
throwing a big haymaker that knocks him back into the buckles.]

JD: Yikes! A savage right hand to the jaw by Kennedy!

[Feeling the crowd's support, Kennedy hops up to the middle rope, fist
raised high as he starts to rain down blows to the skull.]

JD: Big punches to the head! Counting 'em off with the crowd!

[He lands all ten before leaping back down to the mat, turning his head
for an instant...

...and nearly getting his head taken off his shoulders with a lunging
lariat to the back of the skull!]

JD: ENZUILARIATO!!! HE GOT ALL OF THAT!!

[Maverick flips him over to his back, waving the official down to
count.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!!! THR-

[But Kennedy fires the shoulder up, just barely beating the count. We
fade slightly ahead in the match as the sixty second call comes.]

JD: ONE MINUTE REMAINS!! And this has got to feel like deja vu to Wade
Kennedy who nearly went the distance with Adrian Freeman before he
finished him off.

[The crowd is roaring as Kennedy throws a few shots in the corner to the
jaw. He grabs the dazed Maverick by the wrist, whipping him across the
ring. Maverick stumbles out...

...and drops down to the mat, narrowly avoiding Kennedy as he sails by
with his leaping Lariat attempt!]

JD: HE MISSED! HE MISSED THE LARIAT!!

[Maverick quickly seizes the moment, powering Kennedy up on his
shoulders. Maverick does a quick spin, taking a couple step jog before
leaping up and SPIKING Kennedy skullfirst into the canvas with the Acey
Deucy.]

JD: Acey Deucy! He nails it! There's the one... there's the two...
and there's the three.

[A winded Maverick gets up, his arm raised in victory by the official as
the ring announcer tells the world.]

JD: Brent Maverick has won and he's moving on to the semifinals where
he'll meet either The Masked Menace or Jackson Haynes!

[We fade from there back to the WKIK Studios.]

JD: So, there's your first result from the second round of the
tournament. Brent Maverick is victorious with the Acey Deucy and
although Wade Kennedy put in one heck of an effort, he fails to move on
to the semifinals. Maverick will face either the Masked Menace or
Jackson Haynes - we'll find out which one later tonight when we show you
highlights from their matchup Saturday night in Little Rock.

But right now, we're going right back to Laredo, Texas with Robert
Donovan taking on "Gentleman" Jack Holland!

[We fade back into Laredo where both men are out on the floor. Robert
Donovan grabs two hands full of hair before SLAMMING Holland's skull
into the steel ringpost!]

JD: DONOVAN'S TAKING IT TO THE FLOOR!!

[Grabbing the wounded Holland by the arm, Donovan slings him hard into
the steel barricade!]

JD: Listen to these fans! THIS is what the LWC was all about! THIS is
what the heritage of the Longhorn Wrestling Council IS all about!
Robert Donovan's showing Jack Holland that if he wants the Heritage
Championship, he's gotta fight for it and he's gotta fight right over
Robert Donovan!

[A few big haymakers to the jaw have Holland sprawled backwards over the
railing. The big man pulls Holland off the railing the back of the
trunks, firing him back into the ring as the referee's count hits
eight...

...and we fade deeper into the match where Holland has Donovan on the
mat, battering him with punches to the skull. He boots Donovan hard in
the ribs, rolling him to his stomach.]

JD: Holland measures his man and-

[Holland leaps into the air, dropping a leg down across the back of the
neck!]

JD: Picture perfect legdrop by Holland and you can tell he's going
right after the neck. We've seen the Razorwire Blues - that dangerous
full nelson hold. And we've seen the Shotgun suplex - the half nelson
suplex that Mr. Holland... erm... explained to me on the last Saturday
Night Wrestling. But I'd be stunned if he could get Donovan up for the
Shotgun suplex.

[With Donovan down, Holland gets back up, backing slowly into the ropes
where he paces out, leaping up with a kneedrop to the neck as well.]

JD: Two high impact dropping blows across the back of the neck.
Donovan's neck is obviously the target here, fans, and Holland's trying
to soften him up with every blow.

[We fade to later in the match where Holland has Donovan on his feet in
the corner, chopping him repeatedly across the chest. After a few of
those, the seven foot two Donovan throws a haymaker...

...and Holland replies by chopping him across the side of the face!]

JD: OHH! Chop to the temple! Oh my, that'll stun ya.

[Holland grabs Donovan by the wrist, hauling the big man out of the
corner. He fires Donovan across the ring, sending him crashing into the
buckles. Gathering a head of steam, he rushes across the ring...

...right into a big boot to the jaw!]

JD: COUNTER! DONOVAN GOT THE BOOT UP!!

[A dazed Holland backsteps to the middle of the ring...

...and gets knocked flat with a running big boot to the jaw!]

JD: THE BOOT CONNECTS!! HOLLAND IS DOWN!!

[A psyched-up Donovan is feeding off the crowd now that is solidly
behind one of their old favorites. He yanks Holland off the mat in a
gutwrench...

...but Holland drops back down to a knee, trying to deaden his weight
and avoid the lift. Donovan tries one more time and fails before he
breaks the hold and BLASTS Holland with a kick to the ribs. The impact
causes Holland to roll to the floor where a grinning Donovan is happy to
join him.]

JD: I don't think you want to get outside the ring with Robert Donovan,
fans! Look at that smile - this is EXACTLY where he wants to be with
Jack Holland. And the Gentleman needs to stop acting like one if he
wants to succeed in a fight with Robert Donovan!

[Holland staggers back into the railing, shaking his head as Donovan
approaches...

...and then lashes out with a boot to the gut, stunning the big man.
Grabbing him by the back of the head, Holland SMASHES his skull into the
ringside railing!]

JD: Headfirst to the steel! That could split your head wide open,
fans!

[Grabbing Donovan by the wrist, Holland waves in the direction of the
timekeeper's table, clearing them out...

...and SMASHES the big man's head into the wooden table!]

JD: OHH! This is getting ugly out here! The referee is showing a lot
of leeway in letting these two fight on the floor!

[A fired-up Holland grabs the ring bell off the table, raising it high
overhead...

...where the referee reaches over the ropes, grabbing the weapon.]

JD: The referee's telling him no! The ref says he'll ring the bell
if... well, if Holland rings the bell!

[Holland argues briefly with the referee, turning around into a hand
being wrapped around his throat!]

JD: DONOVAN'S GOT HIM!! DONOVAN GRABS HIM BY THE THROAT!!

[The big man tries to power Holland into the air but the Gentleman wraps
his arms around the bottom rope, avoiding the hoist. Holland lashes out
with a leg, driving a knee into the gut of Donovan and breaking his
grip. The Gentleman ducks down, putting his shoulder into the
midsection and somehow getting the big man up in the air...

...and just drops right back down to his rear, dropping Donovan
facefirst on the ring apron!]

JD: DID YOU SEE THAT?! WHAT A COUNTER!!

[Holland rolls under the ropes, waving for the referee to continue
counting as Donovan lies on the floor, his face smashed against the
apron.]

JD: That count's up to six... now to seven...

[Holland waves again, telling the referee to finish him off.]

JD: Eight... nine...

[And with a sudden burst of energy, the big man lunges under the ropes
back into the ring to break the count.]

JD: He got back in! The match continues!

[A frustrated Holland rushes over to the on-all-fours Donovan, yanking
him to his knees. He quickly hooks a half nelson...]

JD: Shotgun suplex attempt!

[But there's just no way the 345 pounder is going up in the air for the
suplex, no matter how hard Holland tries to get him up there.]

JD: He can't get him up! He can't get Donovan off the mat!

[With his free arm, Donovan slams it back into the ribs of Holland. He
connects a second time, knocking Holland back into the buckles. The big
man gets up, hooking a side waistlock, powering Holland up...

...and dropping him down on the back of his head!]

JD: Back suplex! ONE!! TWO!! THR-

[But the three count doesn't come as Holland fires a shoulder up and we
fade to action later in the match...

...where both men are trading haymakers to the cheers of the crowd. A
big knee to the gut doubles up Holland as Donovan hooks a gutwrench!]

JD: Gutwrench powerbomb! This is how he finished off Jesse Ewiak!

[Donovan powers him up but Holland wriggles free, breaking out of the
attempt to powerbomb him!]

JD: Holland slips out! He knew the end was near if he got caught in-

[The crowd responds with jeers as Holland quickly hooks a full nelson on
a shocked Donovan...

...but the big man drives him back into the buckles, smashing him
spinefirst into the corner to break the full nelson before it even gets
sunk in. Donovan turns around, booting the staggered Holland in the
gut. He quickly hooks the gutwrench once more, powering Holland up into
the air...]

JD: GUTWRENNNNCH!

[And DRIVES him down with a thunderous powerbomb!]

JD: POWERBOMB!! Donovan with the cover for one! TWO!! THREE!!

[The bell sounds as the crowd EXPLODES in cheers for Robert Donovan who
shakes his head, looking down with respect at the fallen Jack Holland.
He slowly raises an arm, saluting the cheering Laredo crowd.]

JD: Robert Donovan scores the win and he's moving on to the semifinals!
Who will face him though? It could be the mysterious Nenshou! It
could be the newcomer Supernova! We'll find out next weekend on
Saturday Night Wrestling! But for now, let's go to my good friend, Mark
Stegglet, who has caught up with "Playboy" Johnny Casanova! Mark?

[Backstage, Mark Stegglet is with a wild-eyed Johnny Casanova. The
Playboy - without Big Mama - is clearly irate.]

MS: Thanks, Jason. I am right back here with "Playboy" Johnny-

[Casanova snatches the mic, interrupting.]

JC: Now Scotty Mayhem, I know what ya were trying to do when ya cost me
that match against Brent Maverick. Ya were thinking that I'd be so
desperate for revenge, I'd actually agree to step into the ring with ya
one more time.

[He shakes his head firmly.]

JC: But Scotty, it's just not gonna happen, son. I may feel like I
should tear ya limb from limb for losing me that match... I may be
tempted to beat ya black and blue... but I told ya once, I told ya
twice, I'm done with ya! I can't be wasting my time on people I already
beat twice. So ya can keep trying to get my attention, but when it comes
down to it, ya'd be better off going home and Jammin' your Jackson into
that cute lil girl of yours, cause ya ain't never getting another shot
at Johnny c!

Speaking of shots, thanks to Mr Mayhem, I lost my chance of getting a
spot in the Final of the Longhorn title tourney... but ya gotta believe
people are noticing that I'm still unpinned, I still haven't quit, and
I'm in the top 10 rankings. So I figure that Johnny C deserves a title
shot of some description, and I'm asking - no, I'm DEMANDING - that I
get put into Steal the Spotlight at SuperClash II to give me the
opportunity to right that wrong! Make it so! Ya gotta know that me and
MAMMOTH would BOTH look good in gold!

[Casanova storms out of sight, leaving a stunned Mark Stegglet behind.]

MS: I... uhh... back to you, Jason!

[We cut back to the WKIK Studios where a grinning Jason Dane looks on.]

JD: Ahh, Mark. With someone like Johnny Casanova, you've gotta keep a
tight grip on the mic. You'll learn, my friend. But we just heard
Johnny Casanova make it very clear that he wants in the Steal The
Spotlight challenge. And who can blame him? If you're on that team and
you survive that match, you suddenly find yourself the winner of any
match you want - including a title match! The entire AWA wants in that
match, fans, and the competition to get in it will only get more fierce
in the weeks to come. But speaking of Steal The Spotlight, we caught up
with Louis Matsui in Oklahoma City just moments before his man, MAMMOTH
Mizusawa, was scheduled to meet Violence Unlimited's Danny Morton, in a
one-on-one match in Morton's hometown of Oklahoma City! Let's take a
look!

[Cut backstage in Oklahoma City where a dark-suited Louis Matsui and
MAMMOTH Mizusawa, dressed to compete in a black singlet, knee pads and
boots are standing by. The bespectacled Matsui is smirking
characteristically next to the scowling seven-footer.]

LM: I guess this is where you expect me to disparage the good folk of
Oklahoma and Oklahoma's own Danny Morton, but, really, my client and I
respect you far too much and I would never insult a man in his hometown.
So, Danny, when we head out there to the ring, enjoy the admiration,
enjoy the adoration, bask in the spotlight. And if you survive the
onslaught of MAMMOTH Mizusawa, well, good for you, although I doubt
Danny Morton's going to be the one who has my client's number in a
single's match.

But, hey, Jimmy Dallas isn't the only man who can make offers around
here; Danny, you prove yourself capable of handling yourself in the ring
against my client here tonight? There just might be a spot for you on
Team Matsui in the Steal the Spotlight match at SuperClash.

[And with that, we fade to another piece of footage. The camera fades
into a shot of Mark Stegglet standing by with Danny Morton in front of
an AWA backdrop. In the background, we can hear an excited Oklahoma
crowd chanting "Danny! Danny!" as they greet their favorite son. Morton
is dressed in a red Oklahoma Sooners football jersey over his regular
black wrestling tights and white boots, waving and pointing out to the
crowd as Stegglet begins to speak.]

JS: Danny Morton, tonight you face the toughest match you've had yet in
the AWA, as you take on the monstrous MAMMOTH Mizusawa! Your thoughts?

DM: My "thoughts?"

[Morton clasps his hands together and laughs.]

DM: Well, I think it's good to be back home!

[Big pop from the hometown crowd!]

DM: Ever since I stepped foot back in the state, my friends, my family,
even Coach Bob Stoops himself! They've all been telling me...

"Danny...MAMMOTH Mizusawa's never been slammed!"

"Danny...MAMMOTH Mizusawa's never been suplexed!"

"Danny...MAMMOTH Mizusawa's never even been _pinned!_"

[The crowd jeers at the naysayers. Morton grins and shakes his head.]

DM: But you know what? I spent a decade in Japan and I can tell you
right now, that there's never been a Japanese wrestler on that island
and on this planet that I can't slam, suplex or pin!

[Face pop!]

DM: Yeah, .MAMMOTH's big! Yeah, MAMMOTH's strong! Well, I'm big! _I'm_
strong! And I'll tell you right now that everyone from the great state
of Oklahoma sitting in this arena is going to witness history!

Because Danny Morton will _slam_ MAMMOTH Mizusawa!

Danny Morton will _suplex_ MAMMOTH Mizusawa!

And little buddy?

You better believe Danny Morton will _PIN_ MAMMOTH Mizusawa!

[Morton then pulls the microphone out of Stegglet's hand and points a
finger out to the crowd, shouting loud and proud as they respond to
him...]

DM: BOOMER!!!

"SOONER!!!"

DM: BOOMER!!!

"SOONER!!!"

DM: BOOMER!!!

"SOONER!!!"

[He slams both of his fists into his chest and screams an enthusiastic
"YEEEAAAAHHH!!!" as he hands the microphone back to Stegglet and stalks
off camera.]

JD: Danny Morton, showing he's more than ready to take on the monstrous
MAMMOTH Mizusawa tonight!

[And with that, we cut to action later in the evening with Danny Morton
walking to the ring to Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil" to a HUUUUGE
roar from his hometown crowd. Morton is slapping the hand of every fan
he sees as MAMMOTH Mizusawa stands in the middle of the ring, waiting
for his opponent. As Morton steps through the ropes, he gets another
huge roar...

...and uses it to propel himself into a running tackle on the giant!]

JD: Big time tackle by Danny Morton! 285 pounds slamming into the
giant like a freight train!

[Morton backs off, judging how much of an effect the shoulder block had.
 He measures Mizusawa again...

...and runs into him again with another shoulderblock!]

JD: Another big tackle! But Mizusawa is barely moving! A step or two
at the most backwards... ohh! Big knife-edge chop by the giant!

[The 6'2 Morton reaches up with both hands, grabbing Mizusawa by the
back of the head to bend him over slightly and crushes his head into the
giant's, a blow that sends Morton stumbling back a few steps.]

JD: He went for the headbutt and I can't imagine that was a good idea!
The American Murder Machine needs to make sure he keeps his cool. He's
so emotional right now with these fans going crazy for him but he needs
to stay focused. The headbutt was a bad idea and deep down, he knew it.
He wants to outpower the giant, he wants to slam him, he wants to
suplex him but he needs to remember, this man is over seven feet tall
and over four hundred pounds!

[Staggering back in on the giant, Morton hits a pair of big forearms to
the side of the head. Moving in behind the giant, he leaps up on his
back, slipping his arm around the throat.]

JD: Look at this! Morton's trying to get a rear naked choke in on the
giant from up on his back! Can you imagine how loud this place will get
if Morton's able to choke out the giant?

[Matsui screams instructions from out on the floor and the giant quickly
obliges, smashing backwards into the buckles - crushing Danny Morton in
the corner. Morton crumples down to the mat as Mizusawa leans on the
ropes, catching his breath as we fade to later in the match...

...where Mizusawa has Morton down on the mat, stepping on his throat
with a massive boot.]

JD: The giant's choking him down on the mat... the ref's count to four
and he breaks it.

[Mizusawa reaches down, violently yanking Morton up by the wrist. Once
there, he fires the Oklahoman into the buckles. The giant backs to the
corner and with a loud bellow, he storms across the ring...]

JD: SPLAAAAAASH!

[But at the last moment, Professor Pain dives out of the way, causing
the giant to smash chestfirst into the corner!]

JD: HE MISSED! HE MISSED!!

[A fired-up Morton smashes his fists into his chest before hooking a
waistlock on the stunned giant.]

JD: Are you kidding me?! He's going for the German!

[The crowd roars at the idea of Morton hoisting up Mizusawa in a
waistlock suplex...

...but the giant slams his elbow backwards into the temple, breaking the
suplex attempt!]

JD: The giant breaks it up though and-

[The crowd groans as Morton gets a hand wrapped around his throat...

...but powerfully slams his own arm down on Mizusawa's, breaking free
from his clutch. The giant is shocked as Morton grabs him by the head,
throwing forearms to the temple! The crowd explodes at the barrage of
offense!]

JD: MORTON'S GOT HIM REELING!!

[Hopping up on the middle rope, Morton hurls himself from the second
buckle, connecting with a flying clothesline that knocks Mizusawa clean
off his feet!]

JD: HE FLOORED HIM! HE FLOORED THE GIANT!!

[Morton dives atop Mizusawa as the referee dives to the mat as well.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! THR-

[The crowd roars in disappointment as Mizusawa powers out of the pin
attempt, throwing Morton a couple feet away. The giant rolls to his
side, pushing up to a knee...

...and gets CREAMED with a running, diving clothesline that puts him
back down!]

JD: MORTON DROPS HIM AGAIN!! DANNY MORTON IS EN FUEGO!!

[Morton again applies a press, grabbing the leg.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! THRE-

[But the giant again throws a shoulder off the mat, breaking up the
pin.]

JD: He can't keep him down for three though! These fans, his hometown
fans, are going crazy but he can't keep the giant down for a three
count!

[Morton quickly takes the mount, grabbing the giant's head with one hand
and rearing back the other to throw fist after fist after fist to the
skull of the giant to the roars of the crowd. At the count of four,
Morton gets to his feet, sticking out his tongue and roaring to the fans
who respond in kind.]

JD: Danny Morton is so pumped for this! He wants to beat the giant in
the worst possible way!

[Morton grabs the giant by the arm, hauling him slowly up to his feet by
the wrist. He uses the wrist to hurl the giant across the ring to the
opposite corner. He pumps an arm and then charges in, arm raised at the
ready...]

JD: CLOTHESLI-

[The crowd reacts sharply as Mizusawa raises a boot to the jaw. He
steps from the corner, grabbing Morton by the throat with two hands,
hoisting him into the air...

...and DRIVING him down with a thunderous slam!]

JD: TUSK CRUSHER!! THE GIANT GOT IT ALL!!

[And the four hundred plus pounds drop across the chest of Morton in a
press.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! And there's the three.

[The crowd jeers the victory of Mizusawa as he slowly gets off the mat,
showing great difficulty after absorbing a tough battle from Danny
Morton.]

JD: MAMMOTH Mizusawa scores the victory - but man oh man, did Danny
Morton give him a run for his money. Danny Morton came so close to
winning this showdown on more than one occasion but he just came up
short. And we heard Louis Matsui say earlier tonight that Danny Morton
could earn himself a spot in Steal The Spotlight with the right
performance. I think he gave that performance but we'll have to wait
and see.

[Morton slowly sits up, shaking his head in disappointment as Mizusawa
and Matsui head back up the aisle. As Morton gets to his feet, his
hometown fans roar their approval as he leans against the buckles.]

JD: And for MAMMOTH Mizusawa, that's a great deal of momentum to add on
his side as we approach SuperClash and the Steal The Spotlight
challenge.

[We fade back to the interior of the WKIK Studios.]

JD: The Steal The Spotlight challenge continues to take shape as we
have the two team captains in Marcus Broussard and MAMMOTH Mizusawa but
just who else will be on the team? That was a question that this young
man was looking to answer in Little Rock, Arkansas earlier tonight.
Let's take a look at Johnny Sone!

[Cut to the back where Mark Stegglet stands by with Johnny Sone, who's
dressed in his wrestling gear and wears an "AWA" T-shirt.]

MS: Backstage here with Johnny Sone, who has been on a roll of sorts
since returning to an AWA ring. I heard that you wanted to declare
something here for SuperClash?

JS: Well, first off, thanks Mark, though I can't really say I'm on a
roll.. YET! But, what I wanted to declare was my interest in the Steal
the Spotlight match.

MS: So you want to take the third spot in the match, alongside Marcus
Broussard and MAMMOTH Mizusawa?

[Sone waves off Stegglet as he shakes his head.]

JS: No, Mark - I don't want to just say that I'm taking a spot. I
haven't earned that respect yet. Broussard, he's a former National
Champion, so he has a right to take a spot. And Mizusawa, well...

[Sone kind of sighs and nods.]

JS: He's won the match before and he's a proven winner. Me? I'm still
making my mark here. So, no, I'm not declare my spot for the match...
But I DO want a shot at it! I DO want to challenge and fight for a
chance to join the team for the match! And tonight? I'd like go out
there - against ANYONE who's with me in fighting for a spot to Steal the
Spotlight... And see who the better man is!

[Sone makes a fist and nods to the camera as the shot fades...

...to inside the ring where Johnny Sone is pacing back and forth inside
the ring, waiting to see who will answer his challenge.]

JD: Johnny Sone wants to prove he belongs in Steal The Spotlight but
the question is - who will step up to face him?

[The theme to Halloween hits the PA - and Sone's face drops.]

JD: Oh my god.

[The crowd explodes in jeers as James Monosso comes marching from the
aisleway, trailed closely behind by Percy Childes, the Collector of
Oddities.]

JD: James Monosso wants in Steal The Spotlight? I find that hard to
believe! Since when does Monosso care about the spotlight? Since when
does Monosso care about a shot at the National Title? I think this sick
psychopath just wants to hurt this young man!

[Monosso hits the ring running, barreling Sone back against the ropes
with a flurry of haymakers. He grabs Sone by the hair, pulverizing him
with a headbutt that puts the third generation competitor down to a knee
but Monosso pulls him right up by the hair...

...and OBLITERATES him with a standing clothesline that takes Sone over
the ropes, dumping him out to the floor.]

JD: OHHHH! Johnny Sone just got DUMPED!

[The 288 pound Monosso steps out to the apron, jumping off to the floor.
He stomps Sone a few times on the ground before a shout from Childes
gets him to angrily pull Sone up by the hair...

...and blast him with a heavy forearm sledge across the chest, knocking
Sone back into the barricade. A growling Monosso lays in boot after
boot after boot to the chest against the railing.]

JD: James Monosso's like an uncaged animal when he gets out here, just
beating the heck out of this young man from Los Angeles...

[With a howl, he leans forward, sinking his teeth into the forehead of
Sone.]

JD: He's biting him! He's biting the man!

[Monosso breaks it suddenly and spews a stream of saliva into the
nearest camera lens which just happened to be focused on him.]

JD: Ew.

[The cameraman tries to wipe off the spit as we fade to action later in
the match where Monosso delivers a big spine-rattling scoop slam in the
middle of the ring. The big man immediately gets up, hitting the
ropes...]

JD: Off the ropes and... OHHH! KING!! KONG!! KNEEDROP!

[The giant leaping kneedrop crushes Sone into the canvas and allows
Monosso to apply a lateral press. The referee dives to the mat and
counts two before Sone somehow slips a shoulder up.]

JD: Sone's out at two and you've gotta be impressed with the resiliency
of this young man. This third generation competitor really showing his
heart after he boldly came out here and issued an open challenge for a
spot in the Steal The Spotlight showcase.

[Sone rolls to the safety of the apron...

...for a moment before Monosso reaches over the ropes, hauling him up by
the hair...]

JD: He's bringing Sone back up... not giving the kid a chance to-

[Sone suddenly slaps Monosso's hand away, grabbing the back of his head,
and dropping off the apron to SNAP Monosso's throat down into the top
rope!]

JD: HE CLOTHESLINES HIM!! SONE WITH A BIG COUNTER!!

[A gasping Monosso stumbles backwards as Sone uses the ropes to pull
himself back up on the apron. Grabbing the top rope, he leans to the
side, bringing his leg around in a roundhouse that pops Monosso upside
the head!]

JD: What a kick! He caught him right on the ear with that!

[Sone steps through the ropes, exploding in a flurry of strikes.]

JD: Elbow! Elbow! Spinning back elbow!

[He spins back the other way, connecting with a big spinning elbowsmash
to the jaw that stumbles Monosso back a step or two.]

JD: He's got Monosso in trouble and-

[Stepping up on the thigh of the 6'7 Monosso, Sone lashes out with a
boot to the back of the head!]

JD: ENZUGIRI!! DOWN GOES MONOSSO!!

[An excited Sone dives across Monosso's chest, reaching back to hook the
legs.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!!

[The crowd jeers as Monosso powers out at two, throwing Sone a few feet
away. But Sone stays right on his man, connecting with a running
dropkick to the chin of the kneeling Monosso, putting him back down on
the mat!]

JD: AGAIN!! ONE!! TWO!! THR-

[The big man powers out again, shoving Sone up into the air and down to
the mat. Sone scrambles up again, looking for the headkick on the
kneeling Monosso but the big man ducks it...

...and hooks Sone around the waist!]

JD: LOOK OUT!!

[Monosso hoists Sone into the air, DUMPING him on the back of the head
and neck at a sickening angle.]

JD: BACKDROP DRIIIIIIIVAAAAAAH! THE DESCENT INTO MADNESS!!

[Monosso pushes back to his feet, looking down at the now motionless
Sone. The referee gestures for a cover...

...but Monosso shakes his head.]

JD: Uh oh.

[Grabbing a limp Sone off the mat by the hair, Monosso fires him
shoulderfirst into the ringpost!]

JD: Oh jeez... we've seen this before...

[The big man steps out on the apron, screaming at a stunned Sone...

...and rushes towards him, delivering a big running kick that smashes
the side of Sone's head into the ringpost!]

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

JD: INTO THE POST!! HE KICKED THE MAN'S HEAD INTO THE POST!!

[Monosso slumps backwards, leaning against the ropes with a twisted grin
on his face.]

JD: This man's sick.. this man he's... he's just not right in the head,
fans. They may have let him out too soon.

[Monosso snarls at the referee's demand to finish his opponent, slowly
backing down the apron again.]

JD: No, no, no! Not again! Come on, ref! Don't let him do this!
Don't let-

[Monosso lets loose an ear-splitting shriek, racing down the apron...

...and DRIVING his foot into the side of Sone's skull, smashing it into
the steel ringpost!]

JD: Gaaaah. That's.... that's just awful.

[Sone slumps back from the corner, collapsing in a heap in the middle of
the ring. The referee orders Monosso back into the ring to finish off
Sone...

...but instead, Monosso drops off the apron and makes his way down the
aisle.]

JD: What the-? Where's he going?

[Not bothering to ask, the referee starts his count.]

JD: Monosso's not even looking back! Is he- six... seven... eight...

[A grinning Percy Childes follows his man back up the aisle, smacking
his crystal-topped cane against the palm of his free hand...

...as the bell rings.]

JD: He's counted out! Monosso just got counted out!

[The referee briefly speaks to the ring announcer.]

MC: Here is your winner as a result of a countout... JOHNNY SONE!

[The referee shakes his head, kneeling beside the motionless Sone and
pointing to him.]

JD: Johnny Sone is your winner and... well, I suppose he's moving on to
Steal The Spotlight, fans! James Monosso walked out on this match, took
the countout, and I think Johnny Sone is moving on to SuperClash! How
about that?

[We fade from the arena back to the WKIK Studios.]

JD: And now, I can confirm that's true. Johnny Sone will be joining
the team being captained by Marcus Broussard. That's Broussard and Sone
on one side and so far, just MAMMOTH Mizusawa on the other. We know all
three of those men will be at SuperClash in just over a month's time but
I think it's time to find out who will still be alive with a chance to
be in that Longhorn Heritage Title tournament final at SuperClash! Will
it be the Masked Menace or will it be his opponent in this quarterfinal
showdown, this man, Jackson "The Hammer" Haynes?

[Fade to a shot of Jackson Haynes alone, standing in front of an AWA
backdrop. Haynes is dressed in a floppy, tri-corner cowboy hat, a brown
suede vest and standard black wrestling trunks.]

JH: So, I hear the Masked Menace got himself a new job. That's
good...that's really good. Hell, just cause you look like a fat ninja,
it doesn't mean I ain't proud of you, boy! Let Jackson Haynes be the
first to congratulate you, son!

[He looks up and mockingly claps.]

JH: Bra-vo, brother! Bra-vo!

$20,000 a pop to protect that poof Bobby Baldwin and that sissy Johnny
Nova! I'm happy for you, man. I'm glad you're getting that money. I'm
glad Larry Doyle's emptyin' his wallet for ya'!

Ya' know why?

[He whips off his hat and stares into the camera with a wide-eyed, crazy
look.]

JH: 'Cause when I knock yer stinkin' teeth in tonight, you'll got plenty
of money to pay off that dentist! When I break yer face, you'll have the
cash for that plastic surgeon! And when I make ya' cry them big
crocodile tears after I've knocked yer butt outta' this tournament,
you'll still have enough dead presidents to whine and moan to a
therapist!

[He chuckles.]

JH: I get to dish out a consequence free beating, courtesy of Larry
Doyle's money!

Can ya' believe that?

[Haynes puts the hat back on his head, pulling it over his eyes.]

JH: To quote a great man...

[A rather unsettling grin appears on the weather-beaten face of the
Tennessee native as he cackles.]

JH: Ain't life grand?

[Fade out to an AWA banner. Massive man named(?) Masked Menace.]

MM: Jackson Haynes; dead man.

[Menace crosses his arms, flexing mightily.]

MM: Man wants to take a break from workin' the tag rope, leavin' his
partner in the lurch. I don't much cotton to it, but then, that other
guy ain't no friend of mine neither. "Violence Unlimited"? More like
half a man, split down the middle and lookin' like a haunch cut off a
sick cow. Yer more jerky than man, son, only not as tough.

[Pointing at the camera, Menace raises his chin, looking down his
obscured nose at the camera.]

MM: I ain't much for pointin' at the past, but seems to me that, while
you was leanin' on the shoulder of the man you beat to get to face me,
the Menace has been hurtin' people. I said it before, I'll say it
again; ain't no man get between me and a pay window.

[Clapping his hands together, Menace locks his knuckles together and
twitches the muscles of both arms just because he can.]

MM: At the end of the day I'm another leg up and you're just in
traction. Just the cost of doin' business, Jack. Business ... is
brutal.

[Cut back to the ring where the Masked Menace is now standing and
Jackson "The Hammer" Haynes is on his way up the aisle.]

JD: Here comes the Hammer! He's looking to make it to the semifinals
with a win here right now! He'll move on to face Brent Maverick with a
win! But that's one big hoss inside that squared circle standing in his
way.

[Haynes hits the ring, throwing aside his duster and Stetson before
stepping up on the middle rope to a big cheer.]

JD: Both of these men six and a half feet tall... the Menace at 330
pounds a little larger than Haynes at 310 but you can bet the gameplan
for both of these men is hit hard, hit heavy, and smash the other guy in
the face as much as possible.

[As the bell rings, the two men waste no time in proving Dane right as
they simply square off and start throwing right hands to the jaw.]

JD: WE'VE GOT A FIGHT, PEOPLE!

[The throwdown is all even for a bit but soon, Haynes gains an edge,
throwing fists faster and faster...

...but the Menace lashes out with a big boot to the midsection, sending
Haynes down to the mat. The masked man steps forward but Haynes replies
with a wildly swung right hand to the midsection.]

JD: Oof! Right in the breadbasket!

[Haynes winds up and smacks a forearm across the back that echoes
through the building. A second one knocks the Menace down to a knee
where Haynes simply hits the ropes, rebounding off, and BLASTING the
masked man with a big boot to the face, knocking him flat!]

JD: Down goes the Menace!

[Haynes leaps into the mount of the Menace, grabbing the masked man by
the eyeholes, yanking him up a bit and drilling him with a shot to the
temple. A second one follows suit and a third connects as well before
the referee forces him off, reprimanding him for the clenched fists...

...before Haynes shoves him aside and buries a lunging elbowdrop into
the throat of the Menace!]

JD: Jackson Haynes, the Hammer, is relentless, fans!

[Grabbing the eyeholes of the mask again, Haynes hauls him up to a
seated position...

...and SLAMS the back of the head into the mat to the cheers of the
crowd as we cut to later in the match where the Menace shoves a dazed
Haynes back into the corner, burying a boot into the ribcage of his
opponent.]

JD: The Menace has him in the corner...

[The Menace slings Haynes' arms back over the top rope, rearing waaaaay
back...

...and SLAPS down hard across the chest with an overhead chop!]

"SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!"
"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

[Haynes crumples down to his knee, clutching a rapidly-reddening portion
of his chest. Standing over Haynes, the Menace raises both arms
slowly...

...and smashes them down in a double axehandle over the skull, knocking
the Hammer down to the mat. A few kicks to the ribs follow, causing
Haynes to roll under the ropes to the floor as we fade deeper into the
match where both men are on the apron trading right hands.]

JD: Look out here... a dangerous position for both of these men to
be...

[The exchange of haymakers out on the apron has the crowd "oooh"ing and
"aaaah"ing with every shot as the two men try to batter one another off
the apron. Haynes grabs the masked man by the back of the head,
throwing a few quick shots. He winds way back with the right hand...

...and gets ROCKED with a lightning quick but stiff as hell left jab on
the jaw!]

JD: Ohh! The Menace caught him there!

[Haynes staggers backwards from the blow, falling all the way back
against the ringpost. The Menace approaches, grabbing Haynes by his
stringy blond hair and yanking him closer...

...and executes a standing clothesline that sends Haynes spilling over
the ropes and back into the ring.]

JD: The Menace puts him back in the hard way!

[And the masked man steps through the ropes to follow as we fade to
action later in the match...

...where the Menace whips the Hammer into the buckles. As Haynes
staggers out, the 330 pound masked man barrels across the ring and
CRUSHES Haynes with a spear tackle!]

JD: SPEAR! SPEAR! MY GOD, WHAT A TACKLE!!

[The Menace applies a cover, gesturing to the referee.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! TH-

[The crowd roars as Haynes fires a shoulder off the mat.]

JD: Not enough for three!

[An angry Menace gets up, shouting at the official...

...and drops his weight down in a falling elbowdrop across the chest.
He rolls back into a press, waving for the referee to count again.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! THR-

[But again, Haynes fires the shoulder off the mat to break the count.]

JD: Still not enough!

[This time, the Menace is hot under the collar, shouting at the official
as he gets to his feet. He points a warning finger at the referee
before turning back to Haynes who is up to a knee...

...and buries a haymaker in the Menace's gut!]

JD: Ohh! Big shot down low!

[Haynes gets back to his feet, grabbing the Menace around the head and
neck. He muscles the big man over in a snap mare into a seated
position...

...and CREAMS him with a brutal right crossface forearm!]

JD: Good lord! The Menace just got rocked!

[The Menace rolls to his side, clutching his face. The referee warns
Haynes for the repeated clenched fists but the Hammer shrugs him off,
reaching down to haul the Menace up by the eyeholes in the mask.]

JD: We've got some blood there. You have to wonder if Haynes might
have bloodied up his nose with that crossface. Heck, it could even be
broken at this point.

[Haynes flings the dazed Menace into the buckles. He approaches
quickly, connecting with a shoulder tackle to the gut. Straightening
up, Haynes repeatedly throws right and left forearms down across the
wide back of the Menace, knocking him down to a knee. But Haynes yanks
him right back up, measuring him, and connecting squarely on the nose
with a big left hand!]

JD: Beautiful left hand - and I think he caught him in the nose! Right
in what I have to assume is a broken nose!

[Haynes pulls the masked man into a front facelock, bringing his knee up
into the face over and over to the cheers of the crowd. Straightening
the Menace up, the Hammer grabs the wrist, throwing him across the
ring...

...where he charges right behind him, throwing up a big boot to the
jaw!]

JD: RUNNING BIG BOOT!!

[The Menace staggers out of the corner into the waiting arms of Haynes
who somehow powers him up...

...and hurls him down with a powerful bodyslam!]

JD: BIG SLAM!!

[Haynes promptly hits the ropes, bouncing off, and leaping high into the
air to drop a leg across the chest!]

JD: OHHHH! Haynes with a cover for one! TWO!! THR-

"OHHHHHHHH!"

JD: Shoulder up! The Menace gets the shoulder up!

[As Haynes glares at the official, we cut ahead to later in the match
where Haynes has the Menace leaning against the buckles as he tees off
with rights and lefts to the body.]

JD: He's beating the Menace like Rocky beat that dead cow!

[But suddenly, the Menace lowers his shoulder, grabbing Haynes' around
the waist and slinging him up over his shoulder. He pauses for a
moment, taking a deep breath before he breaks into a sprint out of the
corner, leaping into the air, and DRIVING Haynes down to the mat with a
sitout spinebuster!]

JD: RUNNING SPINEBUSTER!!

[A dazed Menace rolls over into a sloppy cover.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! THRE- NO! NO! HAYNES GETS OUT!!

[The crowd buzzes with relief as an exhausted Menace hauls Haynes up,
blasting him with another overhead chop across the chest, sending Haynes
falling back to the ropes. The masked man approaches, rearing back
again...]

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAP!"
"OHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

JD: Another huge chop! The Menace is really lighting up the chest of
Jackson Haynes with those chops.

[Grabbing Haynes by the wrist, the Menace flings him across the ring.
As Haynes rebounds, the masked man picks him up off the mat over his
shoulder....

...where a desperate Haynes starts flailing away with rights and lefts
to the skull!]

JD: He's fighting him off!
