[Fade in to Jason Dane, dressed in a black AWA polo and jeans, standing
in front of a bank of monitors that are usually used for the big event
"Control Centers." But this is no Control Center!]

JD: Hello, fans, and welcome to a special edition of AWA Access! This
is online exclusive so make sure your bandwidth is clear - no streaming
Netflix or playing Modern Warfare online at the same time 'cause you
will not want to miss a second of this special show. As you know, the
AWA was on the road this past couple of nights - hitting San Antonio on
Friday night for live action and then last night in Laredo for another
big show. Our cameras were at both shows and I'm here to show you some
highlights from both of those shows! We've got the big, big stars to
spotlight as well as some newer talent that you may not have seen on
television quite yet. The newest addition to the AWA broadcast team, my
old friend, Colt Patterson, will join me at ringside to call all the
action! First, let's take a look at some early night action at the Rose
Palace in San Antonio!

[We crossfade from the bank of monitors to a dimly-lit arena in San
Antonio. There is no elevated walkway. There are no fancy lights.
This is pro wrestling at its grittiest. Inside the ring are a pair of
grapplers already. One has a wild red beard to match his scraggly hair.
His 260 pounds is mostly in a beer gut but he looks ready to tussle.
He is Jagger Conroe. His partner looks like he just came out of the
corner bar, dressed in a stained t-shirt and BADLY stained ballcap. He
is Freddy Oates.]

JD: You ready for some tag team action, Colt?

CP: I'm ready for ANY action, Dane. It's been a long time since I've
had to sit here and call a match instead of being back up in that ring
fighting in one. But this is where the AWA wants me so here I am.

[Oates and Conroe are discussing strategy as the sounds of buzzing bees
fills the air.]

JD: And have you had an opportunity to see The Hive in action, Colt?

CP: Have they been on TV?

JD: They have not made an appearance on Saturday Night Wrestling as of
yet.

CP: Then why would I have seen 'em? I ain't a tape tradin' geek like
you, Dane.

[With the buzzing filling the air, Queen Bee comes through the curtain,
shaking her... stinger... to the cheers of the men in the crowd. She
spins around, revealing a large heart-shaped cut-out in her skintight
yellow top to reveal some ample cleavage. Her face... well, we'd tell
you that you might have to bag it except someone has beaten you to it.
She wears a mask with a hole cut out of the top to show a curly head of
red hair. Oh, and she's carrying a scepter in her right hand which she
uses to wave to the curtain just before Yellow Jacket and Bumble Bee
come jogging through into view. The kids instantly take to this masked
and colorfully attired duo.

Bumble Bee wear yellow full-length tights that extend to cover his upper
body as well except for his bare arms. The yellow tights are
occasionally broken up with splashes of black. His yellow mask is
capped off with a pair of antennae. He immediately moves to the ramp,
slapping the hands of the ringside fans.

His "brother," Yellow Jacket, soon follows behind him. Yellow Jacket
wears a similar outfit as his partner but his has alternating yellow and
black stripes from head to toe. The outfits are similar... real
similar... as are their identicial masks.

Upon reaching the ring, the trio climb up onto the apron, looking out at
the crowd...

...and slingshot in a somersault in unison, all three landing on their
feet to the cheers of the crowd.]

JD: I can speak from experience that I HAVE seen these men compete
before and I tell you - they are one of the most exciting, most
daredevil high-flying team I've ever seen... and don't blink when
they're in there 'cause you're likely to miss something.

CP: Well, I tell ya, I ain't gonna blink when Queen Bee's in there.
She's smokin' hot, Dane.

JD: You prefer your women masked?

CP: Sometimes.

[Queen Bee exits the ring as the referee signals for one man in and one
man out.]

JD: And it looks like it'll be Bumble Bee starting out for The Hive
while Jagger Conroe is the starter for his squad.

[The two men quickly tangle up in the center, the masked Bumble Bee
getting walked back to the corner underneath Conroe's power. The
referee calls for a break when Conroe throws a big haymaker that Bumble
Bee ducks under, leaping up to throw a kick back to the sternum to the
cheers of the crowd!]

JD: That's some lightning fast offense from Bumble Bee with the leaping
spinning back kick to the chest. These bees are quick, Colt.

CP: These bees. Do you think these two idiots were little kids
dreaming of making it to the world of wrestling so they could dress up
like bees? They look like morons out here, Dane.

JD: I think they were once little bees buzzing around the hive dreaming
of the day they'd be big bees who could compete in pro wrestling, yes.

CP: That the way we're playing this?

[Bumble Bee ducks under a collar and elbow attempt, hitting the ropes,
and bouncing off with a dropkick on the jaw. A second dropkick sends
Conroe falling back to the corner...

...and we crossfade to later in the match where Jagger Oates is
pummeling Bumble Bee on the ropes. Grabbing the arm, he swings Bumble
Bee off into an Irish whip...]

JD: Bumble Bee off the ropes... clothesli- ducked by the masked man!

[Bumble Bee promptly slaps on the brakes, spinning around to catch a
surprised Oates around the head, tucking his skull under the chin...

...and dropping down in a split-legged jawbreaker! He rolls backwards
once, twice, and then leaps backwards, slapping the hand of Yellow
Jacket!]

JD: We've got a tag and-

[Yellow Jacket slingshots into the ring, charging across with a flying
forearm on the chin. He pops back up, spinning around, and CREAMING a
stunned Conroe with a rolling elbow that knocks him to the floor!]

JD: ROLLING ELLLLLBOOOOW!

[YJ grabs Oates as he gets up, flinging him into the nearest corner with
a whip. With a shout, Yellow Jacket leaps up to the middle rope...

...and grabs Oates by the hair, bringing his knee up into the head off
the midbuckle!]

JD: Innovative offense by Yellow Jacket!

[The crowd counts off on the knees to the head, reaching ten before
Yellow Jacket plants his foot in the mush of Oates, backflipping out of
the corner...

...and ducks under a running clothesline by Conroe that was coming from
behind. As Conroe spins around, Yellow Jacket hoists him up across his
shoulders, putting in a big effort to muscle him up. The bee backs to
the corner, nodding his head to the cheers of the crowd as he high-steps
in the buckles...]

JD: The fans are solidly behind The Hive here in San Antonio!

CP: Dumber than they look.

[Yellow Jacket charges from the corner, leaping up as he throws Conroe
over his head...

...and DOWN GUTFIRST ONTO BOTH KNEES!! BIG CHEER!]

JD: SHOW! OF! POOOOOWER!

[Yellow Jacket springs to his feet, pumping a fist...

...and gets floored with a running double axehandle by Oates!]

JD: OATES TAKES DOWN YELLOW JACKET!!

[Which is Bumble Bee's cue to come flying off the top, catching Oates
squarely across the chest with a cross body!]

JD: DOWN GOES OATES!!

[Bumble Bee helps his partner to his feet, racing to the ropes as the
dazed Yellow Jacket gets up...

...and ducks his head, backdropping Bumble Bee onto a prone Oates!]

JD: A DOUBLE TEAM MANEUVER BY THE HIVE!

CP: I'll give 'em credit, Dane. They certainly know how to work
together inside that squared circle.

JD: Yellow Jacket is the legal man - the referee just told Bumble Bee
to exit the ring.

[And as he does so, Bumble Bee scales the ropes while Yellow Jacket
hoists Oates off the mat...

...and drops him facefirst down in a one-man flapjack!]

JD: Oates is down again... and look at this...

[The crowd begins to... ugh... buzz... as the two members of the Hive
scale opposite corners. Yellow Jacket gets to the top rope in one
corner as Bumble Bee stands tall atop the other...

...and then leap off in unison. both men sailing across the ring and
crashing down onto the downed Oates - Yellow Jacket landing a flying
splash as Bumble Bee drops a leg across the throat!]

JD: THEY CALL IT BUZZWORTHY AND I CALL IT A WIN!!

[The referee dives to the mat, slapping it three times before calling
for the bell. The crowd roars their support for The Hive as they spring
back to their feet, lifting both arms in triumph as we crossfade back to
the Control Centerish looking room of the WKIK Studios.]

JD: Now, that's what I call an impressive first night in to the AWA!
The Hive have made quite the name for themselves in several of the
Northeastern territories but now they've arrived in the AWA and are set
on showing the entire world that they're the best tag team running.

But speaking of the best tag team running, Dave Cooper and Eric Matthew
Somers, Rough N Ready - the AWA National Tag Team Champions - were on
the bill in San Antonio as well for a defense of their titles. We'll
have highlights from that title defense a little later but how about the
Unholy Alliance's Anton Layton in action, trying to wear down Robert
Donovan less than 24 hours before Donovan's shot at the Longhorn
Heritage Championship and Layton's ally, Nenshou. We've got highlights
of that one right now which started hot and heavy before the bell even
rang!

[We crossfade to the ring where the bell is ringing as Robert Donovan
HURLS Anton Layton into the ringside barricade with an Irish whip. The
crowd roars as the seven footer stalks closer, wrapping his huge hands
around the throat of Layton, drawing the referee's ire as he orders him
to break and get back into the ring.]

JD: Colt Patterson, this one is underway!

CP: Thanks, Captain Obvious. Next you're gonna tell me that these two
don't like each other.

JD: Well, uh... they don't!

[Donovan continues to hammer away at Layton on the floor, drilling him
with haymaker after haymaker before hurling him under the ropes. The
big man gets up on the apron, stepping over the ropes...

...where Layton acts, slamming his arm up into the underside of the top
rope, a blow that drives the rope into the groin of Donovan!]

JD: Layton showing a little bit of desperation right there as he goes
waaaay down South on Robert Donovan!

CP: Hey, Donovan's the one who is always going on and on about how
great wrestling was in the South. Maybe goin' way down South is exactly
what he's got coming to him, Dane.

[Layton drags Donovan's hurting form into the ring, driving a
heavily-taped set of extended fingers into Donovan's throat, sending him
staggering back into the corner, gasping for air. A hard back elbow in
the corner follows up, knocking Donovan down to a knee where Layton is
hammering him with clenched fists...

...as we crossfade to later in the match where we find Layton blatantly
choking Donovan against the turnbuckles!]

JD: This official is not doing a very good job of keeping Anton Layton
under control!

CP: Layton takes his order from a higher, darker power, Dane. He's not
much for the authority of anyone who tries to tell him what to do. I'd
like to see you try it. You'd end up with a mouthful of busted teeth.

[Knocking Donovan to a knee, Layton backs to the opposite corner,
throwing his head back in a creepy howl before he charges across the
ring...

...and runs right into having Donovan's hand clutched around his
throat!]

JD: Donovan caught him! The former LWC superstar caught him charging
across the ring and-

[Layton wastes absolutely no time in burying a boot up into the groin of
Donovan, breaking his grip and instantly causing the official to call
for the bell to end the match.]

JD: That's it! That's it right there!

[Layton staggers away, soaking up some shouts from the official...

...before a well-placed right hand knocks the referee down to the canvas
to the jeers of the crowd!]

JD: Layton flattens the ref! He swung that right hand like he's Mike
Tyson!

CP: Mike Tyson? For a young guy, you sure sound like an old man.
Boxing's a dead sport, Dane.

JD: Nonetheless, Layton just showed a haymaker that could make him a
boxing World Champion!

[Layton delivers stomp after stomp after stomp to the downed Donovan...

...and then starts waving his arm towards the locker room, bringing more
jeers as Nenshou, the Longhorn Heritage Champion, comes jogging down the
aisle towards the ring, sliding headfirst into the ring where he joins
Layton in stomping the big man into the mat.]

JD: And now Nenshou's joining him! The Unholy Alliance is all over
Robert Donovan!

CP: Maybe we'll get lucky, Dane. Maybe they'll grab hold of that leg
and bust it up like they did that waste of space Von Braun last weekend.
A world without Robert Donovan is one I'd like to be a part of.

JD: Maybe you should get in there and join them then!

CP: Maybe I will, Dane. The AWA may say I'm retired but I ain't afraid
to slap the taste outta someone's mouth if they get on my bad side.
You'd do well to remember that, slick.

[Nenshou rips the cloth mask off his face, throwing it down and dragging
a thumb across his throat as he gestures for Layton to pick Donovan up.]

JD: Uh oh! Nenshou might be calling up, summoning that mist into his
throat! I STILL don't know where he gets it from!

CP: Donovan just better hope it ain't that black mist, Dane. That'll
put-

JD: Layton's got him up!

CP: You interrupt me again and I'll lay you out!

[Layton holds Donovan's massive arms back behind him, shouting his
approval as Nenshou strikes a stance in front of him, reaching up to
grab the throat...

...and gets a big boot into the gut from Donovan! Big cheer!]

JD: Donovan's tryin' to fight 'em off! We know that Sweet Daddy
Williams isn't here tonight in San Antonio and-

[Donovan uses his massive power to force his arms free from Layton...

...and spins around, grabbing Layton by the throat!]

JD: He's got him! He's got Layton again!

[And as Nenshou straightens up, Donovan grabs him as well!]

JD: He's got 'em both! The Unholy Alliance is in the grasp of Robert
Donovan and-

[The crowd roars as Donovan powers them up into the air...

...and sends them CRASHING down with a double chokeslam! The Unholy
Alliance quickly bails out from the ring as the seven footer throws his
arms in the air, celebrating as "One Man Army" blasts over the PA system
and the crowd cheers. We crossfade from the arena to the WKIK Studios.]

JD: Robert Donovan takes a win by disqualification but you got the
feeling that Anton Layton didn't care one bit. Instead, the Unholy
Alliance wanted to take Donovan out before Saturday night in Laredo -
almost a hometown match for the big man, Donovan.

San Antonio also saw the debut of one of the most controversial
individuals we've ever run across here in the AWA - the man from South
Africa, Col. P.W. de Klerk!

[We crossfade to the ring where in one corner stands a masked luchador,
pacing and back forth in his bright red and silver attire that covers
him from head to toe. The announcer is finishing just as a second man
steps in, overweight and balding, clad in combat boots and army
fatigues. He's also wearing a camo jacket that has the South African
flag on the back as he steps in. de Klerk twists his unruly moustache
as he stares across at the pacing luchador. He glares for a long moment
before requesting the mic from the ring announcer who quickly obliges.]

dK: It has become apparent that the powers-that-be here in the
so-called _AMERICAN_ Wrestling Alliance have failed to comprehend the
contract they executed when they signed the good Colonel to a talent
agreement.

[de Klerk reaches into his jacket, withdrawing a sheet of paper.]

dK: It so happens that I have a copy of that executed agreement -
signed by my representative as well as the AWA's - and it contains the
following clause in Section Thirteen, Paragraph Four...

...and I quote.

[de Klerk pauses.]

dK: "The AWA hereby agrees that Col. P.W. de Klerk does indeed retain
full rights to approve any and all opposition he is scheduled to face."

[The crowd jeers de Klerk as he holds the paper up.]

dK: It is here... here in black and white. Boo all you like but you do
not change that fact!

[The crowd does indeed boo all they like.]

dK: You may believe that a man of my status as a professional grappler
should have no need for such a clause in my contract - and I would agree
with you. It is not the level of one's skill that makes me invoke that
clause.

It is the quality of one's character.

And as tax-paying, law-abiding CITIZENS of the United States can tell
you, a man such as... what is your name, young man?

[de Klerk offers the mic and gets no response.]

dK: No matter. We shall call you "El Gordo" for our purposes. El
Gordo here is no doubt a fine competitor back in his homeland. He leaps
around the ring. flying, sailing, dazzling the fans who paid their hard
earned PESOS to get to see him just before the cockfight ensues at
intermission.

[The boos are getting worse now.]

dK: But here, in America, we look upon El Gordo and wonder... wonder
how he got here... what river he crossed... what barbed wire fence he
scaled... what-

[And "El Gordo" has heard enough as he dashes across the ring, throwing
a dropkick to de Klerk's moustached face to the cheers of the crowd!]

JD: Yeah! Get him!

CP: This is ridiculous! The man has a legally binding agreement that
says he doesn't have to face anyone he doesn't agree to face! And that
includes El Gordo here!

JD: His name is Alfredo Gomez!

CP: Whatever.

JD: And Mr. Gomez is not taking what de Klerk had to say lightly!

[Down on the mat, Gomez is hammering de Klerk with right hands to the
skull to the roar of the crowd. Popping to his feet, Gomez pumps a fist
to the cheers of the fans as he grabs de Klerk by the legs, catapulting
de Klerk through the air facefirst to the corner!

And we crossfade to later in the match where de Klerk is hammering the
kneeling Gomez with overhead elbow smashes to the head and neck. The
crowd cheers as Gomez throws a right hand to the gut!]

JD: Big right hand to the breadbasket!

[Gomez connects with another... and another...

...but de Klerk simply rakes the eyes, breaking the comeback attempt.
He pulls Gomez up by the arm, executing a full twist, and then yanks
Gomez into a short-arm clothesline that topples him! The crowd jeers as
Gomez smashes down to the mat in a heap.]

JD: Colonel de Klerk, like him or not, is a very effective wrestler
inside that ring, Colt.

CP: He's a talented man... and unlike those masked freaks earlier, the
Colonel, I've heard of. The man has been a major superstar in the
Pacific Northwest as well as around the entire globe! He's a top notch
competitor and these idiot fans should be honored to have him here!

JD: They're most certainly not honored - not one bit.

[de Klerk stomps and kicks the head and neck of Gomez to even more boos
from the fans. The referee finally forces him back, de Klerk sneering
as he walks away from the official. He paces around the ring, glaring
at the fans with a cold stare as they boo and hiss him. Turning back to
Gomez, de Klerk walks towards him...

...and then walks ON him, stepping on Gomez' throat as he walks over him
to even more jeers from the crowd.]

JD: de Klerk stepped on his throat, Colt!

CP: Hah! I saw that! Beautiful!

JD: Beautiful?! What's wrong with you?

CP: It was an effective move and wasn't something he'd get disqualified
for. That makes it a beautiful move in my book.

[de Klerk winds up his right arm, dropping down to his knees with an
elbow driven into the windpipe that leaves a gasping Gomez rolling
around on the mat clutching his neck.]

JD: Another blow to the throat - also illegal!

CP: Oh, why don't you make a citizen's arrest then, Dane?

[de Klerk continues to walk around the ring, soaking up the jeers of the
fans as we crossfade...

...and find de Klerk with his boot pressed into the throat of Gomez who
is seated against the buckles, choking the life out of him.]

JD: I don't know what is wrong with the officiating here tonight!

[The South African slowly drags Gomez off the mat, backing him against
the buckles, grabbing him by the arm...]

JD: Whip out of the- reversal!

[The crowd cheers as Gomez sends de Klerk crashing into the buckles!]

JD: Get him, kid!

[Spinning de Klerk around, Gomez flings him to the opposite corner,
smashing into the buckles again to even louder cheers!]

JD: Gomez has got the Colonel on Dream Street!

[Trying to take advantage of the moment, Gomez dashes to the corner,
leaping up to the middle rope where he springs backwards with a cross
body...

...that de Klerk easily sidesteps, sending Gomez crashing down to the
canvas!]

JD: Ohhh! He missed the crossbody! Gomez with a beautiful counter,
diving off the middle rope but de Klerk got out of town there...

[An angry de Klerk drags Gomez into a standing headscissors, hoisting
him up off the canvas in a piledriver position...

...and then falls forward, smashing Gomez facefirst into the canvas!]

JD: OHHHHH!

[de Klerk rolls Gomez to his back, pressing his palms into the chest and
pushing himself up as the referee makes the three count.]

JD: Colonel P.W. de Klerk is your winner in his debut here tonight in
San Antonio... and man, Gomez got flattened with that one. What an
impressive move that was - a face-first piledriver that laid out the
luchador.

[Slowly getting to his feet, de Klerk looks down with disgust at the
downed Gomez. He brushes his shoulders like he's "dusting off", shaking
his head at Gomez before exiting the ring to the jeers of the crowd...

...and we crossfade back to the Studios where Jason Dane is standing.]

JD: Colonel de Klerk with a win in his debut. You may despise the
man's politics but you can't help but be impressed by his skill inside
the ring. That face-first piledriver was the talk of the locker room
that night in San Antonio, I promise you that.

Now, a little earlier, I mentioned that the National Tag Team Titles
would be on the line here tonight with Rough N Ready defending the gold.
But who would they be defending against? Take a look...

[We crossfade back inside the Rose Palace in San Antonio where the
National Tag Team Champions are walking around the ring, waiting to see
just who will draw the chance to challenge them for the titles. A
generic ring announcer stands in the middle of the ring.]

RA: And the challengers...

[The sounds of "Loverboy" by Billy Ocean bring the crowd to their feet!]

JD: Whoa! I did not expect to see this happen here tonight in San
Antonio!

[After a moment, the boisterous Sammy "Sky" Walker walks through the
curtain shouting a "YEAAAAAH, ALRIIIIIGHT, BABY!" to a cheer. Shortly
after, "Big Gun" Colt Starr follows. Both men are dressed in lime green
tights - Walker in trunks but Starr in full-length tights. Their upper
torsos are bare except for matching shiny gold vests. Starr's a
good-looking guy, drawing cheers from the ladies. Walker's not a
bad-looking fella but is obviously overshadowed by his partner.]

JD: Sweet Sensation, the former PCW Tag Team Champions are here in the
AWA!

CP: Now THESE guys are more my speed, Dane!

JD: One of the best tag teams in the world today, in my opinion, Sweet
Sensation is likely to cause quite the stir in a hurry in the AWA tag
team division... and heck, on their first night in, they've got a shot
at the National Tag Team Titles! Incredible!

[Starr and Walker hit the ring, Walker slingshotting over the ropes as
Starr slides under the bottom rope, popping to a knee where he "frames"
Dave Cooper with his thumbs and forefingers like setting up a camera
shot. An angry Cooper shouts something in Starr's direction who simply
grins in response.]

JD: Now, I have to admit - Sweet Sensation aren't exactly the most
loved tag team in the business, Colt.

CP: They're more like me - do whatcha gotta do to win.

JD: They certainly are that. Absent is their talkative manager, Jimmy
Jasper, this week - he's the icing on the cake that makes them one of
the most hated duos in the sport. But I think these fans just might
hate Rough N Ready a little more right now after what they did to
Violence Unlimited a few weeks ago.

[Both Sweet Sensation members shrug out of their vests, handing them out
to the floor as they pause to confer over who will be starting it off
against the veteran technician of Rough N Ready, Dave Cooper.]

JD: And it's gonna be the high-flyer, Sammy Walker starting off for
Sweet Sensation here in San Antonio...

[As the bell rings, the arrogant Walker struts out of his corner...

...and slaps himself on the chest, throwing his arms apart in another
"YEAAAAAH, ALRIIIIIIGHT, BABY!" to which Cooper responds with a boot to
the gut.]

JD: Dave Cooper is wasting no time. This may have been a surprise
opponent for the champions but you can bet they know exactly who Sweet
Sensation is and exactly what they're capable of inside that ring.

[Cooper grabs a handful of Walker's long blonde hair, dragging him to
the corner where he smashes his face into the buckles. Spinning Walker
around, Cooper lights him up with a pair of forearms to the sternum
before hooking a front facelock, using it to drag him down to the mat
where he cranks in on the weardown hold.]

JD: Cooper's gonna try and make Walker, the smaller man, carry his
weight around a bit - see if he can suck some gasoline out of his tank.

CP: It's a smart move by the champions. Sweet Sensation is a younger
team, a faster team. If you get the chance to ground them, you had
better take it.

[Walker gets his legs under him, forcing his way back to his feet where
he backs Cooper down into a neutral corner. The referee steps in,
calling for a break. Walker steps back, breaking the hold...

...and POPS Cooper with a snapping right hook that you could hear back
in Dallas!

JD: Goodness! What a shot by Walker!

[Grabbing the arm of Cooper, Walker fires him across. As the veteran
staggers out, Walker charges forward, knocking him flat with a crossbody
block. Rolling off Cooper, Walker slaps the hand of his partner, Colt
Starr.]

JD: In comes Starr on the exchange...

[Each man grabs an arm, firing Cooper across the ring...

...and on the rebound, he gets hoisted up by Starr who takes him right
back down with an inverted atomic drop, hanging onto the legs to make
him easy prone from a running, leaping, hanging clothesline by Walker
that takes him down.]

JD: Sudden Impact by Sweet Sensation!

[And with a grip on the legs remaining, Starr flips forward in a double
leg cradle!]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! TH-

[Cooper pops a shoulder free to the disappointed buzz of the crowd that
thought they were on the verge of seeing an upset title change happen
before their eyes.]

JD: Whoa! A near fall for the challengers!

[A frantic Cooper crawls away, reaching the corner...

...where he lifts his arm, slapping the hand of the big man as we
crossfade to action later in the match.]

JD: The big man is putting the muscle to Colt Starr!

[With the 245 pound Starr trapped against the buckles, Somers lets loose
a barrage of heavy standing clotheslines in the neutral corner, each
more fierce than the one before it, shaking every inch of Starr's
well-toned body.]

JD: A brutal barrage in the buckles!

[Grabbing Starr by the arm, Somers flings him across the ring, smashing
his fists into his chest before following across...

...and hitting nothing but buckles as Walker yanks his partner clear by
the wrist! Big cheer!]

CP: Brilliant counter by Sweet Sensation!

JD: The referee is letting Sammy Walker have it for that illegal assist
but Walker doesn't care, slapping the hand to bring himself into the
match.

[But not into the ring yet. Still holding his partner's arm, Walker
charges down the apron, connecting with an
inside-the-ring-outside-the-ring double clothesline on a stunned Eric
Matthew Somers that topples him back into the corner. Walker quickly
scales the ropes from outside the ring, hooking a side headlock as he
reaches the top.]

JD: Walker's goin' for a bulldog off the top!

[The high-flyer leaps from his perch, sailing through the air...

...and then stopping cold as the big man uses his power to stop the
momentum, holding Walker high above the ring, and then CRASHING him down
to the canvas on the back of his head with a belly-to-back suplex!]

JD: Ohh! High-impact belly-to-back suplex by the big man!

[Getting to his feet, Somers winds up his right arm, dropping a big
elbow down on the chest of Walker, earning a two count before the
loudmouth from Jacksonville, Florida slips a shoulder clear. Somers
gets to his feet, grabbing the foot to drag Walker to the corner as we
crossfade...

...and find Colt Starr throwing a big boot to the gut of a rebounding
Dave Cooper. Quickly hitting the ropes, Starr throws a big kneelift
that straightens Cooper up, and then leaps into the air, hooking
Cooper's head and neck as he passes him, and SNAPS him down to the mat
with a reverse neckbreaker!]

JD: Ohh! What a combo!

[With Cooper down on the mat and the crowd cheering, Starr removes his
elbowpad, slapping his arm. He spins his left arm around and round, the
crowd growing louder with every swing of the arm. As Cooper starts to
wobble back to his feet, Starr hits the far ropes, bouncing off to hit
the near ropes, dashing back with a world's worth of momentum behind
him...]

JD: LAAAAARRRIIIAAAAAAAT-

[But at the last moment, Cooper somehow avoids the lariat attempt,
hoisting Starr into the air, pivoting, and DRIVING him down to the
canvas with a thunderous spinebuster slam!]

JD: SPINEBUSTER!!

CP: That's it! Turn out the lights, jack, 'cause this party's over!

JD: Cooper with a cover- ONE!!! TWO!!! THR-

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

JD: STARR GOT A SHOULDER UP!! STARR GOT A SHOULDER UP!!

[Cooper doesn't hesitate, grabbing the legs again as he gets to his
feet, crossing the legs over...

...and flipping Starr onto his stomach!]

JD: CLOVERLEAF!!

[Knowing the end is near, Sammy Walker dashes into the ring, breaking up
the submission attempt with a leaping leg lariat!]

JD: Walker breaks it up... uh oh! Here comes the big man!

[An angry Eric Matthew Somers rushes into the fray, rushing towards
Walker with a running clothesline...

...but Walker ducks underneath it, responding with a dropkick to the
chest!]

JD: Walker takes to the air! The dropkick doesn't budge the big man
though!

[Walker pops back up, throwing a second, this one knocking Somers a step
back but that's all. Walker pops up again, shaking his head as Colt
Starr gets off the mat...

...then dashes to the ropes, leaping up onto the shoulders of the
waiting Starr who holds him in a fireman's carry, swinging him in an
airplane spin so that his legs catch Somers on the side of the head,
knocking him back to the ropes! Big cheer!]

JD: INNOVATIVE OFFENSE FROM SWEET SENSA- AHHHHHH!

[Starr keeps on spinning, catching a rising Dave Cooper on the temple as
well, knocking him flat...

...and then presses his partner up and over, dropping him in a splash
across the chest of the downed Cooper!]

JD: What a move! WE'VE GOT ONE!! WE'VE GOT TWO!! WE'VE GOT NEW TAG
TEAM-

[But the shoulder of Dave Cooper pops up before the three count.]

CP: No, we don't, Dane! Don't you be getting ahead of yourself!

JD: I thought he had him - I thought Sweet Sensation had won this
thing!

[Turning towards the dazed Somers, the two Sweet Sensation members
barrel across the ring, taking flight with a double flying shoulder
tackle that actually knocks Somers through the ropes to the floor! HUGE
CHEER!]

JD: THEY CLEARED OUT SOMERS!! COOPER IS ALL ALONE!!

[Starr pulls a dazed Dave Cooper to his feet, scooping him up. He
hoists Cooper into the air in a vertical suplex lift as Walker quickly
scales the ropes, steps up top, throws his arms up for a quick cheer,
and hurls himself from his perch, catching Cooper squarely across the
chest with a crossbody as Starr topples over into a suplex! HUGE
CHEER!]

JD: SENSATIONPLEX!! THAT'S GONNA DO IT!!

[Walker reaches back, tightly hooking a leg as the referee dives to the
mat to count.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! THRE-

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

[A desperate Eric Matthew Somers reaches under the bottom rope, yanking
Walker out of the pin and out to the floor with one powerful pull. Once
on the floor, Somers grabs Walker by the head, crushing him with a
headbutt...

...and then SLAMMING his skull into the ringpost!]

JD: OHHH, JEEZ! Did you SEE that?!

CP: That's a man not ready to drop the gold yet! He'll do whatever it
takes to keep it just like they did whatever it took to win it!

[With Colt Starr protesting to the official, the referee turns to
reprimand Eric Matthew Somers...

...which allows Starr to get a forearm slammed into his groin from
behind!]

JD: LOW BLOW BY COOPER!!

[Reaching up, Cooper drags Starr down to the mat in a schoolboy
rollup...

...and strategically throws his legs on the middle rope for leverage as
the referee dives down to count.]

JD: NO, NO, NO!

"DING! DING! DING!"

JD: They stole it, Colt! The champions literally stole this one!

CP: Like I said, Dane, they did what they needed to do to walk out of
here tonight still holding those tag team titles. You gotta give 'em
credit for that.

JD: For breaking the rules?

CP: You call it breaking the rules, I call it being resourceful... and
a winner to boot.

JD: Unbelievable.

[As Rough N Ready retreat up the aisle with their titles intact and
Sweet Sensation complain to the official, we fade back to the WKIK
Studios where Jason Dane is standing.]

JD: A disappointing end to our night in San Antonio as it looked like
we were going to crown new champions - something that would have
certainly put a crimp in the plans of Joe Petrow and Royalty. But it
was not to be. Dave Cooper pulled out a win by... being resourceful...
as Colt Patterson would put it. But their day is coming, fans, I
promise you that. Violence Unlimited is hot on their trail... not to
mention teams like The Aces and the Rockstar Express!

But San Antonio was in the books... next stop, Saturday night in Laredo,
Texas - a town born and bred for professional wrestling! And it gave me
great pleasure to be there in Laredo to call some of these big
showdowns. Later on, we'll be looking at highlights from Robert
Donovan's challenge for the Longhorn Heritage Title... what there was of
it at least... as well as Sultan Azam Sharif's battle with Sweet Daddy
Williams. Plus, Alex Martinez was there! But before we get to any of
that, let's take a look at the debut of yet another new competitor here
in the AWA...

[As we crossfade back to action inside the arena in Laredo, we find a
man with smeared green facepaint smashing his own head into a
turnbuckle. His presumed opponent looks quite rattled by this, standing
across the ring complaining to the official.]

JD: Welcome to Laredo, fans... and welcome to your first look at the
piece of work - the professional wrestler known as The Lost Boy.

CP: This guy is no professional, Dane. He's a seriously mentally
challenged creature who somehow they let roam the damn streets. Look at
'im! He's gonna knock himself out before the match even starts!

[His opponent, Cooper Martin, approaches warily...

...and then jumps on his opponent's back, flailing away with forearms to
the back of the head. The Lost Boy seems confused for a moment before
slowly walking out of the corner, reaching back to grab Martin around
the neck...

...and flinging him down to the canvas to a big cheer!]

JD: Haha! These fans here in Laredo loved seeing that!

CP: This guy's a maniac, Dane. One day he's playing nice with the
fans, kissing babies with that painted-up face of his. The next he's
trying to break someone's neck with that swinging neckbreaker of his.
He's a beast who deserves to be put down.

JD: I think I sense some issues. Did you have a run in with this man
before, Colt?

CP: Yeah, I have. Back in '93, we fought all over Texas for a half a
year. Man nearly bled me dry on more than one occasion and put me on
the shelf for three months with a sprained neck. I know him. I know
him real well. And that means I know exactly what he's capable of.

[The Lost Boy turns away from his downed opponent, returning to the
corner where he was standing. He puts a foot up on the middle rope,
looking out over the crowd. He shoves a blue tongue out of his mouth,
uttering a loud "OOOOOOOOG!" in the direction of the crowd before Martin
jumps him from behind again, throwing forearms to the back. He pulls
The Lost Boy down, spinning him around in the corner for a series of
punches to the ribs...

...and EATS a headbutt that sends him sprawling! Big cheer!]

JD: One of the hardest heads in the business!

CP: That's 'cause they're ain't nothin' in there, Dane!

[The facepainted man from Parts Unknown wobbles forward, leaping up to
drop a knee down on the chest of Martin. He flattens out next to him,
not in a lateral press, just laying on his stomach next to him.]

CP: What in the world is this lunatic doing now?

JD: I have no idea.

[A hurting Martin rolls away from The Lost Boy, dragging himself off the
mat. He rushes him again...

...right into a big boot to the chest that flattens him again to the
cheers of the crowd. The Lost Boy looks around at the cheering crowd,
almost puzzled that they're cheering him. He cracks what looks like a
smile before bouncing off the ropes, grabbing his own hair that's back
in a sloppy ponytail as he leaps high into the air, and SMASHES his head
down into a prone Martin!]

JD: Falling headbutt off the ropes!

[The Lost Boy pushes up, fists down on the chest of Martin as the
referee counts to three. The crowd cheers the face-painted grappler who
rolls to the side, sitting down and rocking back and forth on the canvas
as the ring announcer makes it official.]

JD: Well, The Lost Boy certainly made short work of young Cooper Martin
right there, Colt.

CP: And luckily for Martin, he may have forgotten how to use that
neckbreaker.

[The referee goes to raise The Lost Boy's hand...

...but a bark and a snarl sends the referee fleeing as The Lost Boy
"celebrates" his victory by just sitting on the mat and we crossfade
back to the WKIK Studios.]

JD: A nice debut there for The Lost Boy - one of the most unique
individuals we've ever seen here in the AWA for sure. Speaking of
unique individuals... you won't believe what was waiting for Alex
Martinez in Laredo, Texas. Take a look...

[We crossfade back to Laredo where Alex Martinez is walking down the
aisle towards the ring where "The Bull" Bruno Dawson is awaiting him for
one-on-one action...

...when suddenly, three very large man erupt from the shadows of the
aisleway, swarming Martinez!]

JD: What the... is that...

CP: It's the Moonshiners!

[It certainly is. Mange barking orders to Jug and Zeke as they put the
heavy work boots into the ribs of the downed seven footer. After a few
more kicks, they drag Martinez down the aisle towards the ring where
Zeke flings him spinefirst into the edge of the ring apron. Jug grabs
Martinez' injured arm, lacing it around the ringpost...

...and PULLS HARD, yanking Martinez' badly-injured shoulder into the
steel!]

JD: OHHH!

CP: The 'Shiners are lookin' for some whiskey money - the kind of
dollars that only The Dragon is offerin' these days!

[Mange continues to shout orders to his men who are hammering Martinez
with rights and lefts. Zeke holds the arm out fully, allowing Jug to
kick the tricep...

...when suddenly Bruno Dawson has seen enough!]

JD: Wait a second!

["The Bull" steps from the ring, moving towards the Moonshiners. Mange
steps up, getting in his way...

...and Dawson doesn't hesitate, tackling him down to the thinly-padded
concrete floor, hammering him with right hands. The assault on their
manager catches the attention of the 'Shiners who pull away from
Martinez, moving to help Mange.]

JD: Ohh! And now the Moonshiners are hammering away on Bruno Dawson!

[The big wild-haired brawlers hurl Dawson back under the ropes into the
ring, rolling in after him. Jug and Zeke take turns battering Dawson
with double axehandles across his broad back before hauling him to his
feet, whipping him into the corner. Jug pursues...

...and gets caught with a lunging jab out of the corner by Dawson! The
crowd cheers as "The Bull" snaps off a jab to Jug... then one to Zeke...
a spinning backhand sends Jug staggering to the ropes before Dawson
leaves his feet, snapping off a kick to the back of the skull!]

JD: ENZUGIRI!!

[With Zeke down on the mat, Dawson goes after Jug, grabbing an arm to
sling him across the ring...

...and DRIVE him into the canvas with a spinning powerslam!]

JD: POWERSLAM!! POWERSLAM!!

[Dawson floats over into a mount position, battering the downed Jug
relentlessly...]

"CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!"

[A well-placed steel chair across the back from Zeke knocks Dawson flat
and brings wild jeers from the crowd. Zeke stomps and kicks the downed
Dawson before planting the edge of the chairback into the throat of
Dawson, strangling the air out of him!]

JD: He's choking Dawson with the steel chair! Bruno Dawson just got
himself in some serious trouble here with the Moonshiners!

CP: Serves him right. He had no part in why they were out here. He's
the one who got himself involved in it. The Moonshiners had some cash
to pick up and Dawson tried to prevent that. Never come between a man
and his money.

[Jug slowly gets up, joining the assault on the downed Dawson whose face
is rapidly turning red from the chair jammed into his windpipe...

...when suddenly the crowd erupts!]

JD: MARTINEZ!! MARTINEZ!!

[The big man hits the ring full of fire, delivering two big right hands
to Jug before landing a big clothesline that takes him over the ropes to
the floor! Spinning around, he spots Zeke coming for him with the
chair...

...and lands the big boot to the jaw, knocking him flat!]

JD: BIG! BOOT!

[A fired-up Martinez ain't done yet, grabbing a downed Zeke by the
throat, powering him up to his feet...

...and pulling him into a standing headscissors!]

JD: Uh oh! This can't be good news for Zeke!

[With an anguished shout, Martinez hoists Zeke over his head, grabbing
him under each arm in a crucifix...]

JD: Martinez has got him up! He's got Zeke up!

[And he HURLS him through the air, sending him crashing down to the
canvas in a heap where Mange drags him out to the floor, leaving
Martinez to stand tall in the middle of Laredo, Texas. With his music
playing, Martinez helps Dawson up to his feet, shaking his hand for the
assist as the fans cheer both men...

...and we crossfade back to the WKIK Studios.]

JD: You just never know what's gonna happen in Laredo, Texas. And if
we didn't already know that, we found out for sure just before the first
half of the night's double Main Event when Robert Donovan came out to
the ring to battle Nenshou for the Longhorn Heritage Title... let's take
a look...

[Crossfade back to Laredo where Donovan has just stepped over the ropes
into the ring, coming straight for Nenshou who beats a quick retreat,
bailing from the ring to the floors at ringside. He points a warning
finger at Donovan, jerking off his cloth mask to spray the hideous green
mist into the air. He drags a taped thumb across his throat, pointing
at Donovan who gestures for him to get back into the ring...

...but before that has a chance of happening, the crowd explodes in
jeers at the sight of Anton Layton charging down the aisle, sliding
through the ropes, and drilling Donovan from behind with a double
axehandle that knocks an unaware Donovan down to his knees!]

JD: LAYTON!

CP: Just like last night, the Unholy Alliance never travels alone!

[Pulling Donovan's hair back, Layton pummels him with short right hands
to the skull as Nenshou rolls back in, throwing a big boot to the chest
of the kneeling big man. Layton wraps his hands around the throat,
choking Donovan down to the canvas where Nenshou continues to stomp the
former LWC competitor, drawing major jeers from the crowd now...

...until a HUGE CHEER goes up!]

JD: SWEET DADDY WILLIAMS!!

[The Atlanta fan-favorite sprints down the aisle dressed in a t-shirt
and jeans, diving under the ropes...

...and revealing that he's got a cowboy boot in his hand just a moment
before he brains Layton over the head with it!]

JD: WHAT A SHOT ON LAYTON!!

[He swings around, ready to do the same to Nenshou...

...but Nenshou's too quick for that, diving through the ropes to the
floor. Williams takes one more lap around the ring, ready to club
anyone who gets within reach as Nenshou and Layton regroup out on the
floor.]

JD: Thank the maker for Sweet Daddy Williams who turned a very bad
situation around in a hurry.

CP: Thanks to an illegal weapon! I don't hear you talking about that,
Dane!

JD: Well, the match hadn't started so it's not illegal now, is it?

CP: Semantics are the shield for those in the wrong, Dane.

JD: I'll remember that.

[Williams, still standing guard, gestures for a handheld mic.]

SDW: I'm sick of this!

[Williams throws the cowboy boot down to the mat to a big cheer!]

SDW: Last night, in San Antonio, you jumped my man Big Rob here and got
away with it 'cause the Sweet Daddy had other business to attend to.
But tonight, we ain't goin' out like that!

[Big cheer!]

SDW: In one week's time, we're scheduled for a little tag team match
between the two of us and any two of you Unholy Alliance no-good snakes
who got the guts God gave 'em to get in here with us.

But the way I look at it... we're here...

[The crowd likes the way this is going.]

SDW: And you're here... so I don't know 'bout you, Laredo, Texas...

["Hey, that's us!" cheer!]

SDW: BUT I DON'T WANNA WAIT A WEEK! LET'S DO THIS NOW!!

[Williams throws down the mic, ready for a fight. He's waving both
Unholy Alliance members back into the ring as the referee tries to find
out if this is going to happen. Robert Donovan climbs to his feet,
thanking Williams before shouting something thankfully unheard by our
mics at the ringside contingent.]

JD: Sweet Daddy Williams wants to make this a tag match right now! He
wants the match we're supposed to see in seven nights on Saturday Night
Wrestling TONIGHT here in Laredo, Texas!

CP: Is it gonna happen? The Alliance ain't used to doin' things not on
their terms, Dane.

JD: They may not have a choice!

CP: They always got a choice.

[But before a decision can be made, the sounds of "Saz O Avaz Mahdor" by
Mohammed Reza Shajarian starts up to the jeers of the crowd.]

JD: Now what in the world is THIS is about?

[After a moment, Ivan Kostovich appears in the aisleway, mic in hand as
Sultan Azam Sharif follows behind him, dressed for action.]

IK: This is most convenient, Williams, you coward!

[The crowd jeers the insult. Williams is hot, shouting in Kostovich's
direction now as well.]

IK: You know very well that you are scheduled to face the Sultan Azam
Sharif, the former Olympic Champion and the man who was the FIRST to
enter your Memorial Day Rumble in singles competition later tonight.
You know very well that fact, Williams.

[Kostovich is seething.]

IK: And you know very well that you would be DEFEATED in that match!

[An explosion of jeers at that assumption!]

IK: So, now you try to hide... you try to avoid the Sultan by taking on
this tag team match instead...

We find it most unacceptable.

[Kostovich scratches his chin.]

IK: However, we are generous sportsmen... so we will make you an offer.
The Sultan will join forces with Misters Layton and Nenshou to form a
one-night union to put the BOTH of you out of wrestling and to end this
glorification of what this pathetic WASTELAND used to call wrestling
once and for all!

[Oh, that did it. The crowd is all over Kostovich now. He enjoys the
boos though, smiling at their reaction.]

IK: I'll even be sporting about it, Williams.

[The duo begins the walk down the aisle now, reaching the ringside
area.]

IK: We will even allow you to have a partner to make this a six man tag
team match...

...if you can find one from here.

[The crowd jeers as Kostovich huddles up with Anton Layton, Sharif
flexing for a nearby unruly fan as Williams and Donovan discuss the
situation inside the ring.]

JD: How can they find a partner from INSIDE the ring? How is it
possible?!

[Suddenly, the sounds of "Stranglehold" by Ted Nugent kicks in to a HUGE
TEXAS CHEER!]

JD: OH YEAH!!

CP: Oh, you gotta be kidding me.

[The cheers grow louder as James Lynch walks through the curtain,
throwing up his right hand in the form of the Iron Claw to an even
bigger cheer! The barefoot grappler nods his head at the cheering
crowd, pointing to the ring as he trots down the aisle, leaning over the
railing to hug the ringside fans who stretch out to embrace and kiss the
Texas wrestling hero on the cheek. Lynch reaches the ring,
slingshotting over the ropes into the squared circle where he high-fives
Robert Donovan and embraces Sweet Daddy Williams before turning to face
the agitated Ivan Kostovich who is now shouting at the Sultan who nods
before rolling into the ring, slapping his arms...

...and shoves James Lynch hard in the chest! The crowd "oooohs" at the
offense...]

JD: What a jerk this Sultan is and-

[The crowd EXPLODES in a cheer as James Lynch leaves his feet, striking
the Sultan in the jaw with two bare feet! Sharif rolls to the floor,
grabbing his chin as James Lynch pops back up, pumping a fist to the
cheers of the crowd as Donovan and Williams exit the ring. Nenshou and
Layton take up positions in the opposite corner as Sharif and Kostovich
discuss what just happened...

...and give Lynch the opportunity to lean through the ropes, SMASHING
their skulls together to a huge cheer!]

JD: DOUBLE NOGGIN KNOCKER!!

[The crowd roars as Sharif and Kostovich fall to the floor and James
Lynch celebrates inside the ring. We crossfade to later in the match.]

JD: James Lynch is taking the fight to Anton Layton here!

[The crowd roars for Lynch as he delivers punches from the midbuckle,
smashing the Prince of Darkness with right hands to the melon as the
crowd counts them off. At the ten count, James Lynch snaps off a
backflip, landing on his feet, and then hiptossing the dazed Layton down
to the canvas to another big cheer!]

JD: Down goes Layton!

[Nenshou dashes through the ropes, trying to get an edge...

...but gets hiptossed down to the mat as well!]

JD: Sharif's not getting involved in this one!

[The Iranian grappler shakes his head, staying put on the apron...

...but James Lynch grabs the top rope, slingshotting Sharif over the
ropes and down onto his back in the middle of the ring to another big
cheer!]

JD: Look at James Lynch! He's dominating these three hated superstars!

[Lynch continues to celebrate as we crossfade to later in the match
where Robert Donovan is delivering big knees to the midsection in the
turnbuckles on Nenshou.]

JD: I'm sure Donovan is pleased to be getting his hands on Nenshou but
you know he really wanted that shot at the title here tonight. He
wanted to win that Longhorn Heritage Title in front of the very fans, in
the very city that that title pays tribute to.

[Grabbing Nenshou by the arm, Donovan hurls him across the ring. He
barrels across towards his victim...

...who deftly front rolls under the clothesline attempt, causing Donovan
to smash hard chestfirst into the corner!]

JD: He missed! Donovan missed the clothesline!

[Spinning the seven footer around, Nenshou throws three snapping kicks
to the midsection before leaping up, spinning back with a well-placed
kick to the sternum that knocks Donovan down to a knee. The Longhorn
Heritage Champion slaps the hand of Anton Layton who dashes across the
ring, SMASHING his knee into face of the kneeling Donovan!]

JD: OHHHH!

[Layton drags Donovan from the corner by the hair, throwing him down to
the mat. He drops a fist into the bridge of the nose before applying a
loose lateral press that only scores a two count before we crossfade to
action later in the match...

...where we find Sweet Daddy Williams being stomped and kicked into the
canvas by Sultan Azam Sharif!]

JD: The Sultan, the man who will enter the Memorial Day Rumble in the
coveted Number Thirty slot is really working over the man who has
pledged to not allow Sharif to win the Rumble on that important American
holiday!

CP: And that's what drew the ire of Sharif. He had no problem with
Williams until that. So when Williams is icing down tonight after this
match and wondering why he hurts so bad, he can blame only himself,
Dane.

JD: Big elbowdrop, perfect execution by Sharif!

[The well-conditioned grappler gets back up, dropping another picture
perfect elbow to the chest. He rolls Williams, who rolled to his side
to avoid further blows, to his back, battering him with right hands to
the skull to the jeers of the crowd. Sharif climbs to his feet,
striking a double bicep pose to even louder boos before walking to the
corner, slapping the hand of Nenshou who slingshots over the ropes,
charging in, and dropping a lightning-fast elbow into the heart before
applying a cover.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!!

[But the Atlanta fan favorite kicks out at two, avoiding the pin.
Nenshou pops up, delivering stomp and stomp to the chest of Williams
before a hard stomp to the midsection causes him to sit up. Holding the
head of Williams, Nenshou snaps off a brutal kick to the spine of the
seated Sweet Daddy!]

JD: Good grief! What a shot!

[Nenshou turns towards the fan favorite corner, dragging a thumb across
his throat and pointing at Donovan...

...which brings the big man into the ring!]

JD: HERE COMES DONOVAN!!

[But the referee intervenes, getting in Donovan's path...

...which allows Anton Layton to come into the ring, joining his partner
in stomping Williams into the canvas. Layton slaps his hands together,
allowing the referee to "hear" a tag as Nenshou slips back out to the
apron and Layton drags Williams into the middle of the ring, where he
applies another blatant chokehold.]

JD: Another choke by Layton...

[This time, it's James Lynch who comes in, burying a forearm into
Layton's back to break the hold. The official forces Lynch out which
allows Layton to make another illegal exchange with Nenshou. Sharif
looks puzzled at what's going on, shouting something unintelligible to
Kostovich who shakes his head. Nenshou plants a few kicks to the chest
before heading to the corner...]

JD: Look out here... Nenshou's got a moonsault on his mind...

[The Longhorn Heritage Champion steps to the middle rope, looking out at
the jeering crowd before he steps up top...

...and snaps off a breathtaking backflip!]

JD: MOOOOONSAAAAAAAUL-

[BIG CHEER!]

JD: HE MISSED! HE MISSED!!

[And the fan favorite uses his timely roll to drag his body across the
ring where both Donovan and James Lynch are awaiting a tag. Williams
makes progress as Nenshou lies on the mat, cradling his ribs. His
corner too is shouting for a tag. The crowd roars, cheering Williams
towards the corner...]

JD: Both men need a tag... both men getting closer...

[The crowd jeers as Nenshou slaps the hand of Sharif!]

JD: In comes the Sultan and-

[BIG CHEER AS DONOVAN SLAPS WILLIAMS' HAND!]

JD: IN COMES THE BIG MAN!!

[A running clothesline knocks Sharif flat! Spinning towards the corner,
Donovan cracks Layton with a right hand that knocks him off the apron!
With the crowd roaring, Donovan fires Sharif across the ring, sending
him sailing some ten feet through the air and down to the canvas with a
backdrop!]

JD: DONOVAN SENDS HIM DOWN HARD!!!

[A fired-up Donovan slams a hand on the top turnbuckle, lifting his
right hand with two fingers extended, sending the Laredo crowd who has
seen this before into a frenzy!]

JD: Donovan's calling for Vengeance! We haven't seen this in the AWA
yet but this was his old finishing move here in Laredo! If he hits
this, it's over!

[As Sharif stumbles to his feet, Donovan thrills the crowd by sinking in
the mandible claw! Sharif's eyes go wide at the sudden intrusion of
Donovan's fingers in his mouth...

...but Anton Layton rushes in, delivering a big double axehandle to
Donovan's back to break up the chokeslam attempt!]

JD: Layton preventing Vengeance... the crowd doesn't like that too
much...

[Layton grabs Donovan by the arm, firing him into the ropes, burying a
boot into his gut on the rebound...

...and Sharif BURIES his hooked boot into the throat of Donovan,
knocking him down to the mat where he grabs his throat, gasping for air.
Sharif wobbles towards him, flipping him to his stomach as Layton takes
up a guarding position.]

JD: Sharif's going for the Camel Clutch! He's going for-

[But James Lynch ain't havin' that, leaping up to the top rope, sailing
through the air with a crossbody that knocks Layton flat! Layton rolls
out to the floor as James Lynch climbs to his feet, hand curled for the
Claw - a gesture that sends the Laredo crowd into a roar...

...and drives them even crazier as he locks the clawhold on Sharif's
skull!]

JD: THE CLAW!! LYNCH HOOKS IN THE CLAW ON SHARIF!!!

[The Sultan screams out in pain, flailing his arms back and forth as a
determined James Lynch grits his teeth, squeezing the skull with every
bit of strength in his body...

...when suddenly a protesting Ivan Kostovich climbs up on the apron!
Lynch suddenly breaks the claw, throwing a dropkick that sends Kostovich
sailing off the apron to the floor to another huge cheer!]

JD: LYNCH CLEARS OUT KOSTOVICH!!

[Holding the hand up again to reapply the Claw, Lynch turns around...

...and gets a thrust kick under the chin that sends him toppling over
the ropes, crashing down in a heap on the floor!]

JD: LYNCH GETS SENT TO THE FLOOR!!

[With Donovan still down, Nenshou flips him onto his back again, quickly
heading to the corner...

...but Sweet Daddy Williams rushes in, not about to let it happen. He
reaches up, grabbing Nenshou by the tights, and HURLS him down backfirst
to the canvas! With the crowd roaring, Williams grabs Nenshou off the
mat, hooking a side headlock as he backs to the corner, swinging his
right arm around in the air...]

JD: He's calling for it! The Riley Roundup!

[Williams rushes out of the corner, leaping into the air, and DRIVES
Nenshou's skull into the canvas!]

JD: BULLDOG!! HE HITS THE ROUNDUP!!!

[Williams applies a lateral press as the referee dives to the mat to
count.]

JD: ONE!! TWO!! THREEEEEEEEE!!!

"DING! DING! DING!"

RA: Here are your winners... the team of Robert Donovan, Sweet Daddy
Williams, and James Lynch!

[A HUGE CHEER goes up from the Laredo crowd as the three fan favorites
celebrate their big victory. The rulebreakers regroup out on the floor,
slowly making their way back up the aisle towards the locker room as the
crowd continues to roar for the feel-good ending...

...and we crossfade back to the WKIK Studios and a grinning Jason Dane.]

JD: Unpredictable to say the least. Laredo, Texas is one of my
favorite towns to watch wrestling in and the level of you just never
know what might happen is one of the biggest reasons why. And with
Sweet Daddy Williams pinning Nenshou in Laredo - you just know the
Unholy Alliance will be out for blood next Saturday night when Williams
and Donovan will team to face two members of the Unholy Alliance!

Fans, it was a great time in San Antonio and Laredo this week. The AWA
on television is one of the hottest programs in the country but believe
me, it just can't compare to seeing it live! So, when the AWA is in
your area, especially this summer on tour, don't miss out!

For Colt Patterson, I'm Jason Dane... we'll see you next week, fans!
