Charisma Knight

Charisma stands at 5'8" and weighs 147 pounds, carried in an athletically built frame. Her hair is shoulder length, dyed bright red on the right side and jet black on the left. Her eyes surrounded by a dark almost black eyeshadow/eyeliner combo, Rounding out her face is black lipstick. Sometimes, she'll also appear to be wearing grease paint spattered on the rest of her face. She has two outfits. Her normal outfit is black work boots, black cargo pants, and a grey tank top, all worn and threadbare, with some holes in the pants. She keeps her arms bare, save for black wrist tape, matching her black and red nail polish. Her other attire is black wrestling shoes covered by black kick pads ,with black and red two-tone kneepads. She wears dark red tights coming down to her upper thigh, with fishnet stockings underneath. Upper body she wears a red leather bodice with shoulder straps, with a black sports top underneath peaking out. Rounding this out is what can be best described as red leather gauntlets from her elbow to her hands, leaving the fingers bare. To the ring, with either attire, she wears a worn black leather hooded jacket, with the hood covering her hair, and either a full face gas mask, or a black balacava with a darkened visor covering her face.

Charisma Knight was a normal girl growing up in Cleveland OH, until one fateful Saturday, she flipped on the TV, and her local channel picked up a block of Pro Wrestling. Syndicated shows showing matches from IIWF, MLWO, EMWC, and GLCW were on display all morning long, along with the Louisville Big Wrestling territory. Charisma became enthralled, not so much with the pageantry, but with the athleticism and skill and mental preparation involved. She started absorbing as much as she could, making it all appointment viewing in her youth.

Sadly, as time wore on, the big national promotions closed, and Wrestling went from Saturday morning to night time, and Charisma became more involved in her studies and high school track when she reached it. But she always caught LBW when it was on, and occasionally got ahold of tapes, and later DVD’s, when she noticed them. After College, even being a business major from Ohio State, she was unsure what to do with her life. Then she saw an ad in the local paper. Luke Steele was running a wrestling school in the Cleveland area. She decided to give it a go.

Her early days training were not good. She had problems adapting to wrestling, not quite getting the hang of how to handle herself in the ring, not finding a style that would fit her. She was afraid she was getting close to washing out, when she decided to go all in. She took a week off, and grabbed every single wrestling tape she could find. Heading back all the way back to the territory days, she picked up on a ton of SLWO and CSW and went from there. She studied how people adapted, that going with a simple style that could adapt easily to opponents with a single focus would be the best route. She picked her style and went back to school, and it “clicked”. She showed great improvement and graduated, striking out on her own, beginning to circle the now reforming territories.

However, reality struck, and struck hard. Women’s wrestling had fallen on hard times. The only two major promotions running it were the UWF and Fighting Spirit, and they were inconsistent with actually running shows, at best. The rest of the United States scene was littered with exploitation matches, or sadistic death match territories. Charisma had the patience for neither, so she traveled around, getting put on whatever legit shows she could. Sadly, most of the territories running legit Women’s wrestling died quick deaths, as it was an attraction at best, but they weren’t drawing the numbers. Disheartened, she grabbed what money she had, and flew off to Japan.

Japan was great. The talent was rich, promotions thriving, everything was going well. Charisma worked whenever she could, getting better, learning, and living her dream, until the fateful night she worked the same show as Miykui Ozaki. To this day, Charisma doesn’t know what happened. Rumors around that she forgot to bow, that Ozaki was jealous, that Charisma said something off color and didn’t realize she offended. But after that night, bookings dried up. Charisma couldn’t get put on shows, no one was calling, or returning her calls. She wasn’t getting matches, and she realized she had been effectively blackballed from Japan. She returned back to the States, disenchantment with the business setting in.

Trying another loop, she was beginning to give up on the dream of wrestling and turned her focus to managing, believing that was her ticket to the big time. She procured her license and set out to find a charge or two to get moving, believing her knowledge of past wrestling and mind for the strategy side of things to be an asset. But in a sport of guys that think they know better than everyone else, she was having issue keeping with a charge, with most not paying heed to her advice, and her getting frustrated quickly with being ignored. She kept floating around, until she ended up in Portland one night, watching the match of a rough and raw team of Bryan Flint and Danny Archer.

She approached the two, and being down on their own luck, then agreed, and listened, and under her guidance became the Hell Hounds. Running through the territories the way the 3 did, then gained the attention of the AWA, and were signed to a contract.

It was at that time, Melissa Cannon vs. Miykui Ozaki happened at Rising Sun Showdown, and it looked like the AWA might be finally getting a Women’s Division going. On the other hand, getting back into hard training for the ring has distracted Charisma from leading the Hounds, and their careers have stalled. However, the loyalty between the three led to mutual parting of ways, so that they didn’t hold each other back, and the Hounds have had their contract transferred to SWLL, to go there starting October, which Knight remains in AWA to make her mark and make history.

One Bad Day — Singing reverse STO, commonly referred to in other circles as the Sister Abigail, Blade Runner, Shell Shock, and probably several others.

Kneebar - Getting annoyed at the Figure 4 getting countered, she trained in the art of applying the kneebar as it’s harder to counter.

Snap German Suplex — This is the other German she adapted. This one is mostly done as a counter, or if she’s close to the ropes. She’ll toss the opponent so that she hits the ropes chest first, then backs into Knight. Knight will then quickly use the momentum to wastelock and German Suplex the opponent. Sometimes, she’ll follow right up with the …. If the opponent is kneeling.

[Charisma Knight steps from behind the curtain into the entrance way, her bright pink length hair with aqua ends a stark contrast behind the black hood of her otherwise dark red ring jacket. She walks toward the ring at a normal pace, occasionally stopping to give a smirking condensending laugh or two toward the fans in the aisle way.]

{ANNOUCER BANTER}

[Charisma climbs the steps to the ring, walking along the apron on the hard camera side, stopping at the middle and facing the crowd, holding out her arms and raising her head. She lowers her head, looking around the crowd with a slight sneer before entering the ring, removing her jacket to reveal her matching flame emblazoned black, red, and orange gear, consisting of kick pads over wrestling shoes, upper thigh length tights, and a closed off modest halter length tank top. She goes through her ritual of checking the ropes and getting a last minute stretch in while waiting for the bell to ring.]
