Guerrero Oscuro

Guerrero Oscuro has a lean, athletic physique, with lightly-tanned light brown skin and brown eyes. He wears his dark brown hair short, so that very little of it is visible from underneath his mask.

In keeping with tradition, the Guerrero Oscuro mask is a plain black mask, although the current Guerrero Oscuro has opted for a larger opening around the mouth than the masks of the original Guerrero Oscuro and Guerrero Oscuro Jr., which also exposes his chin. Smoke gray trim around the eye holes and mouth gives the mask a bit of texture. Like the mask, the rest of Guerrero Oscuro’s ring – tights, knee pads and boots – is plain black.

Like many luchadores enmascarados in Mexico, Guerrero Oscuro’s birth name is not a matter of public record. What is known, however, is that he is the third person to have worn the Guerrero Oscuro mask, being the grandson of Guerrero Oscuro Jr., himself the adopted son of Omar Alvidrez, the original Guerrero Oscuro.

His tag team partner is a maternal cousin – Rey Fuerza’s father is one of the older brothers of Guerrero Oscuro’s mother. Their team name – La Nueva Generación Oscura – pays homage to Los Hermanos Oscuros, the famed tag team that Guerrero Oscuro Jr. was a part of.

Together with “El Nino” Vengador V, the trio of luchadors all hailing from historic lucha libre families have been dubbed Legado de Lucha.

[Los Lobos’ “Cumbia Raza” starts to play. First to step through the entranceway is “El Niño” Vengador V. He has on his silver mask with black trim, a black button down shirt, with the long sleeves rolled up, and cloud gray dress pants.

Vengador V is followed closely by Rey Fuerza, who has on a red mask with gold trim, red tights, with the image of a war hammer smashing a lightning bolt airbrushed in gold on the right thigh and the letters “RF” in a Medieval Gothic font, crowned with the same four point crown as on his mask, on the left thigh; red knee pads and red boots, with gold laces, eyelets and piping. He also has on a black T-shirt, with the words “LEGADO DE LUCHA” in green, white and red block lettering across the front (now available on AWAShop.com).

Guerrero Oscuro is not far behind. He has on a black mask with smoke gray trim, and plain black tights, knee pads and boots. Guerrero Oscuro takes his place to Vengador V’s left, while Rey Fuerza stands on the right side of “El Niño” who looks out towards the ring, while his fellow luchadors soak in the cheers of the KeyArena crowd.]

[With the slightest gesture from Vengador V, the trio begin making their way towards the ring. As they make their way down the aisle, Rey Fuerza and Guerrero Oscuro reach out to high-five and slap hands with as many fans as they can.]
