Kelly Taylor got into the business the wrong way as her uncle paved an easy path for her to get to the Combat Corner... then to the AWA. But the problem was... she wasn't very good. She could take a beating for sure. She looked good bouncing around the ring. But that's hardly marketable. But sometime during her Combat Corner stint, she realized that her cheerleading and gymnastics background also suited her for a high flying style. In the Corner, she quickly became known as the woman who would try any in-ring move at least once... giving or receiving. She dove into the world of joshi and lucha libra, determined to bring a different style to the table. Soon, she was drawing strong reviews from the trainers and the fans alike for her early on the card matches where she'd take a beating, throw out some cool moves, and then get beat.

She seemed destined for the role of an "enhancement talent."

Until she met Donna Martinelli who had a vision for three attractive young women to become the most hated act in the Women's Division through sheer annoyance.
