Lady Rebecca Falkingham

Rebecca is a redheaded English beauty with a long-limbed muscular body that was fashioned through a life time of sport. Although she dresses like the Queen outside of the ring: skirt suits, hat and pearls, don't write her off as effete. Look into her eyes. Lady Rebecca Falkingham has doll's eyes … shark eyes: cold, remorseless, lifeless eyes. Despite her regal bearing there is something about her that is mad, bad and dangerous to know.

Rebecca Falkingham, despite her persona as a British Lady, was born in Birmingham, England to a decidedly middle class parentage of a mother who is a professor at the University of Birmingham and a father who works as an event coordinator. The middle child and only daughter of the pair, Falkingham was decidedly a tom boy growing up. She excelled in track and field, basketball and volleyball. She earned a scholarship for Beach Volleyball in Spain. She excelled at the sport and competed for the UK national team. However, England did not qualify for the Olympics despite hosting the event in 2012 and again failed to qualify in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. This left Falkingham frustrated with the sport and seeking other opportunities where she could continue to use her athleticism.

At the time the English wresting scene was very popular and she took to training with “Prince” Colin Hayden one of the more famous English wrestlers at the time. Falkingham found her niche. Hayden then gave his star pupil access to the IIWF video library and one of the most famous of British grapplers, Lord Byron. That lit a fire under Falkingham who found her direction and character.

Becoming a genderbent Lord Byron, Lady Falkingham took off and her bookings throughout England and Europe soared. She became one of the most sought after talents on the independent scene. It wasn’t long before the AWA took notice of her combination of arrogance, beauty and killer instinct on the mat. Falkingham had always been a fan of the talents of Supreme Wright and Laura Davis who were already in the promotion and she secretly believed that she was the superior mat talent to both. Signing was a no brainer.

So Lady Falkingham brought her talents to Texas.

Commentary should be surprised by her athleticism and tremendous leaping ability and remark on the interesting ways she mat wrestles. They should also note that she sometimes snaps into a rabid bloody dog when she gets a weakness on her opponent and she will not cease exploiting it. They should compliment her mat skills, eventually asking if she is the best mat wrestler in the business?

Byrd's "Mass for Four Voices" announces the arrival of Lady Rebecca Falkingham as she strides out onto the stage. She stands at the top of the ramp, arms held up at her sides. Thin lips curling in distaste as she surveys the fans in attendance, Lady Falkingham briefly curtsies to the crowd. Falkingham is decked out in a spectacular Regency military-styled robe made of sequins and feathering with gold rope trim around the collar, button holes and cuffs and a black tricorne hat with gold braid for the trim. She keeps her white-gloved hands lifted limply at her sides and her nose to the rafters as she strides down the ramp towards the ring with noble grace. She ascends to the apron, carefully wiping her boots on the mat before she waits at the ropes for an attendant to hold them open. She steps through the ropes and stands in the centre of the ring, arms held out expectantly as the attendant removes her robes to reveal her ring gear: a red singlet, white gloves and short white boots with the initials RF stitched on the sides in stylized lettering. She smooths back her vibrant red hair, gazing out at the crowd with her dark, lifeless eyes. After a moment she again curtsies briefly before she takes to her corner, stretching herself with the ropes in awkward manners as she awaits the referee to signal the start of the match.
