Molly Bell

Molly Bell is a caucasian woman with a stocky build, along with long wavy hair that is past her shoulder blades and is dyed blonde. She paints black whiskers on her face, along with a black triangle on her nose, with a black line down her philtrum along with three dots on either side, and places black lipstick on her upper lip to simulate a cat face. She also typically wears black winged eyeliner, along with lipstick on her lower lip and eyeshadow that usually matches her ring gear. She has hazel eyes, and has a two-inch scar near her navel on her left side from an accidental cut while playing rugby in high school. Her ring attire changes frequently, but is usually a two piece outfit. Molly's tongue pokes out when she's concentrating on something, an odd habit that she's had since childhood. She's recently leaned up, dropping over 20 pounds of weight. When she's not wearing her cat face makeup, facially she looks eerily like Theresa Lynch.

Molly Elizabeth Bell was born in Richmond, Virginia on March 6, 1994. She was an only child, raised by a doting single mother who was only 22 when she had Molly, and her father left the family before she was born. When Molly was seven, she was asked at school what she wanted to be when she grew up, and her teacher thought her response was silly; "a cat".

Molly meant it. Lay in a sunbeam? Get scratched behind the ears? Only worry about dinner time? Sounds good to her. And Molly's dear sweet mother told her she could be anything she wanted to be, as long as she stayed out of trouble, so Molly took that to heart. If her mom said it was okay, then it was okay. Molly was going to be a cat! Molly was a great student as well, consistently on the honor roll, and was well-behaved. Molly's quirk of wanting to be a cat didn't bother her mother (not to mention, Molly and her mother were rather poor, so Molly wanting to be a cat was a cheap and effective way to keep her happy). Molly also played on her high school's rugby team, the only girl on an all-boys team, enjoying running around the pitch and pouncing on people like a wildcat.

When Molly was 18, though, just days after she graduated high school, tragedy struck. Molly's mother suffered a fatal aneurysm while at work. Molly was heartbroken, and decided that the best way to pay tribute to her mother was to live life exactly the way she wanted, because her mother always said it was okay. Molly went off to college weeks later on an academic scholarship, studying both art history and the Japanese language, and playing club-level rugby. She realized, though, that she may not be cut out for everyday work life due to her quirks. Her girlfriend at the time took her to an independent pro wrestling show, and Molly thought "hey! That might be cool!"

Molly met with the event's promoter, "River City Renegade" Ryan Sheldon, a Shane Destiny trainee who had never made it past the independent level. Sheldon offered to train Molly, and after six months, Molly debuted as a pro wrestler. When Sheldon asked Molly what kind of character she'd like to portray, Molly's answer was simple: "I want to be a cat." Molly graduated from college and moved in with Sheldon, which eventually turned into a romantic relationship.

Molly had a relatively uneventful independent career, wrestling almost exclusively on East Coast independents for two years, with her event radius running from Raleigh, North Carolina to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She eventually made a connection with Shane Destiny himself, wrestling for his independent promotion Destiny Pro, including a match against a masked Michelle Bailey in March 2017. Sheldon seemed surprised that Molly had started working for Destiny, because Sheldon and Destiny had a falling out in January 2016. Molly was also noted to be an aggressive kitty on the indies, biting and scratching and clawing her opponents.

On April 25, 2017, Molly got the call that would eventually change her life. AWA Talent Relations called her, having gotten her number from Destiny, saying that they had an opportunity for her for a live tryout in Seattle, Washington in four days if she was available and could get herself there; she was told she'd be reimbursed for her travel. Molly accepted. One problem: Molly checked flights and realized she couldn't afford to pay for one up front. If she left that day, though... she could make the drive, and she could afford the gas at least. Sheldon, seething with jealousy that Molly had gotten a break before him, told her that if she left, she wouldn't be welcome back. Molly quickly packed up everything she owned (which wasn't much anyway) into her Toyota Corolla and hit the road.

In the morning of April 29, 2017, Molly rolled into Seattle, catching some quick sleep in the parking lot of KeyArena before going into the building for her tryout. Molly was guided by a force much greater than luck that night, and scored a major upset over fourth-generation European star Maggie Rhodes. After the match in the backstage area, Lori Dane asked Molly what the story was behind Molly's car being filled with possessions. Molly simply shrugged and said that her boyfriend had kicked her out for taking the tryout, and she drove to Seattle immediately with all her stuff because she couldn't afford the flight. Dane had AWA Talent Relations offer her a contract on the spot for her dedication in even getting to Seattle.

Molly's situation also caught the attention of Ayako Fujiwara, when Ayako was made aware that Molly was essentially homeless and living in her car while wrestling on the AWA's house show loop after signing her contract. Ayako decided to take the stray Molly in, and Molly is now considered to be Ayako's pet cat. Since being adopted by Ayako, Molly's gentle, playful side has surfaced more and more, to the point where she has become something of a cult favorite. Turns out having Ayako in her life filled a void Molly wasn't aware she had, and that has resulted in Molly's aggressiveness fading away.

Molly soon became part of a trio with Ayako and Michelle Bailey, with Michelle joining the team after her AWA in-ring debut (a loss to Ayako in a friendly encounter) on June 24. There was a bit of a rocky start to the trio, as Molly fought Michelle in a catfight at Eternally Extreme 2. Molly took offense to the catfight from the first Eternally Extreme containing no actual cats (though Molly admitted she considers Michelle an honorary cat), but Molly quickly bonded with Michelle after Michelle pinned her.

Over the next few months, Molly had a couple of moments that wreaked havoc on her psyche. The first was a feud with SWLL luchadora La Ardilla, which resulted in Molly being temporarily blinded and getting her ribs bruised by La Ardilla's ally Miranda Montenegro. The second was feeling as though she was a burden on Ayako, especially after press notes that Ayako was not the same wrestler she was during her feud with Laura Davis and citing that Ayako's adoption of Molly could be the reason why. Molly's performances gradually slipped, to the point where she suffered a serious rib injury at the end of September 2017 at the hands of an overly aggressive Trish Wallace. She offered to leave Ayako's house so Ayako would no longer be burdened by her, but Ayako reinforced their bond and said that she wasn't going to give up on Molly. Molly took this as pawsitive reinforcement, and soon began a strong training regiment, shedding over 20 pounds and gaining significant speed in the ring, as well as several new moves.

POUNCE!! (a shoulder to sternum tackle from an unexpected angle; the most common setup is for Molly to whip the opponent to the north set of ropes, Molly will run east, and the two will collide in the middle with Molly diving into her opponent as hard as she possibly can. Molly can hit this from other angles, though, and it is very much a "from out of nowhere" move if she has a little bit of space to run and can connect shoulder to sternum with her opponent. If Molly is going to signal for this, such as when she's coming out of the corner, she will wiggle the lower half of her body just like her fellow cats. Though Molly has lost weight, she's gained a lot of speed and the velocity has made her Pounce even more dangerous)

Really fast and hard to catch. What else would you expect from a cat? Since dropping weight post-rib injury, Molly has become quite speedy, and quite difficult to keep grasped in holds.
- Overwhelming (and unexpected) popularity. Molly is arguably one of the most popular wrestlers amongst the 12 and under set, and her popularity amongst those kids has made her a regular presence on AWA shows, even while she was injured. Her good natured attitude and her copycat behavior is also a favorite, even for those out of elementary school.
- Full of surprises. Molly is a very sneaky kitty, with a bunch of tricks to get out of tough situations. Her quick win over Victoria June by pretending to fall asleep and baiting her into falling victim to a small package is proof positive of that.

Not much ambition. She seems pretty content to be recognized as a cat and hang out with Ayako and friends.
- One big cat-shaped target. The combination of her popularity, closeness with Ayako, and that last point about her lack of ambition will likely make her a target of wrestlers who see her as a disgrace to the sport, or someone who wants to get under Ayako's skin (at their own potential peril).
- Small. Molly was already one of the smaller wrestlers on the AWA roster prior to her weight loss, now she's even smaller. She will get easily overwhelmed by the larger members of the roster unless she can scramble away from them in time.
