Odysseus Allah

Odysseus is a young, rough good-looking hip hop-looking guy: gold fangs, undercut short dreads, patchy beard, prison body, tattooed sleeves on his arms. It's easy to mistake him for some wannabe thug. His ring gear is a distressed shearling denim trucker, combat fatigue pants and combat boots.

Odysseus Allah is one of Unique Allah's many children but he's the one that got the world class talent. A highly-recruited athlete in wrestling and football, Odysseus "O.D." Allah forewent an athletic scholarship for an academic one. Odysseus also inherited his father's brilliance, enrolling at Columbia University with a degree in Computer Sciences. Allah was always bothered by his father's career in wrestling, feeling that he never got his fair due and was never given the chance to show the full range of his abilities. Allah feels that the Dirt Dog's history of aborted pushes left him looking like a clown and a comedy act. So Young Odysseus decided to take up the mantle, putting his degree on hold and training first with the Age of Rage school in Brooklyn before, grinding away in Mexico and Japan, studying all the styles and mastering them. He never used the name Allah, preferring to go by O.D. Brown so his lineage would not be disclosed until he was ready.

Allah learned and excelled at all styles: brawling, aerial, mat wrestling, submission-style. Unique advised him to be able to do anything and everything in the ring. So Allah studied tapes of the best he could find any and everywhere. He also watched a lot of video of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, MMA fighters like Rufus Harris and took whatever he could from them. O.D. excelled with is speed and co-ordination. He became so good he could perform spectacular moves with his hands clasped behind his back just like Ali. The Canadian crowds appreciated his rough brawling. The Mexican crowds adored his high-flying styles. The Japanese audiences approved of his strong technical ability. Now he just needs the break at home. He got into the Combat Corner based on his father’s name, but he told them he was going to take the name and make it bigger and better. That spotlight calls Odysseus in a way it never called his father.

Odysseus is probably too smart for his own good. Too brash. Too cocky. He likes to get wild with it in everything he does and man does he have a quick temper. He isn’t affable like his father because playing a fool didn’t really do his father good like that.

OUTLOOK FOR 2018

Odysseus Allah isn’t just looking for his break. He is going to take his break no matter who he has to break in the process. The release of the Black Panther movie in 2018 allowed him to find inspiration for a character in Killmonger, whose style and persona he adopts. He wants the Allah name to be remembered and revered. If not he’s fine with it being feared.

The AWAtron lights up with an image of a cobra striking the screen. Shots of Odysseus intermingle with shots different snakes as Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Snakes" plays over the PA system. Odysseus Allah steps out onto the stage garbed in a shearling-lined denim trucker, camouflage combat pants and combat boots. He stares at the crowd, chewing his lip in disgust. He flashes a manic smile as he rubs his hands together gleefully before slashing his finger against his throat and then stalking towards the ring. Odysseus Allah sprints up the three steps before slipping through the ropes. He shrugs off his trucker jacket and then sits on the top turnbuckle, watching everything carefully.

Heel
