Signature Moves
Bridging belly to back cradle suplex (Regal Plex)
Multiple rep gorilla presses before dropping the opponent, catching them in front of him and slamming them down with the front slam. Somehow this variation is less devastating than the Hayden Hoist
Smythe just likes to use it to demonstrate his ridiculous strength
European uppercut. Smythe likes to add a run-up to it, or to hit it on an opponent coming off an aerial maneuver
Enzuigiri
Smythe does not often leave his feet, but when he does, it is usually to deliver a brutal-looking kick to the back/side of an opponent’s head
Flying arm scissor into a crucifix armbar
Another rare instance of Smythe leaving his feet. A nod to the Armbar Assassin, yet somehow lacking the finality of Callum Mahoney’s use of the move – Smythe just really likes to show off his explosiveness and will stretch an opponent out, but will quickly lose interest in submitting them
Crossface inverted Indian Deathlock (Regal Stretch)
With the opponent face-down on the mat, Smythe crosses the opponent’s ankle into the crook of the opponent’s knee. He drops down and leans forward, using one leg to apply pressure to the opponent’s legs, as he applies a crossface hold. Commonly set up with a go-behind takedown, or a leg drag; less frequently with a drop toe hold
Delayed vertical suplex. Like, really delayed, as Smythe holds the opponent upside down in a ridiculous show of strength. May culminate in a gourdbuster also
it doesn’t really matter to Smythe which direction the opponent is brought down, as long as he has the chance to show off his strength beforehand
Other Moves
Backbreaker
As an added bonus, with the opponent laid out across his knee, Smythe may add a bicep flex or two
Elbow and forearm smashes, sometimes in a successive flurry
Gutbuster drop, sometimes off a gorilla press, usually preceded by multiple reps of said presses
Powerslam, including the running variation
Ring rope clothesline drop (Hot Shot)
Forward rolling fallaway slam
Spinebuster, sometimes with the gorilla press, or multiple gorilla presses, set-up
Bear hug
Rarely does this move end a match; Smythe just uses it to show off his strength and will often slam the opponent to the mat after ragdolling them for a bit
Not a particular move per se, but an array of takedowns, mat-based controlling holds and escapes (Two of Smythe’s favourites being the cartwheel and somersault dodges)
Having trained at the hands of former international star, Colin Hayden, Smythe’s no slouch on the canvas. While his strength and power will always be his primary weapon, he can mat wrestle with surprising skills as well.
