Sid Osborne

The best way to describe Sid Osborne is "thick." Thick chest, thick legs, thick torso, thick neck. He's a walking barrel of a man. He's also as punk rock as it gets. He's covered in tattoos including two full sleeves, several on his chest, and an impressive back piece showing angels chucking thunderbolts from atop a sea of clouds down at the Devil and his demons in a pit of fire. His hair is five tall spikes of jet black with red tips forming a makeshift mohawk. His ears have plastic gauges in them… big ones. And he's been known to wear a chain between his nose ring and ear ring from time to time.

In the ring, he wears a jet black double singlet with silver trim that goes down to mid-thigh.

Sid Osborne was born to be a rock star. His parents were both musicians. In fact, his parents met when his mother was front and center at a show where his father was on stage playing lead guitar. Their eyes met during a ripping solo and the rest was history. Many a family gathering was punctuated by the story of Sid’s conception - in the back of a van with Seattle grunge rock blasting from the tape deck.

Osborne was a rebellious kid with parents who wanted to be his friend more than his disciplinarians. He got in trouble in every level of school and after he turned 16, that trouble turned into a stay at a juvenile delinquency camp for vandalism. After turning 18, he formed his first band, actually getting signed after a year.

At 19, he was a rock star… with an alcohol problem. One night after a show, he wrapped his Corvette around a telephone pole and was lucky to escape with his life.

At the age of 21, he was back to the bottom. Dropped from the label. A hand with such terrible nerve damage, he’d likely never play the guitar again. He started working at a bar as a bouncer.

One night while out on a smoke break, he saw a family of tourists in the wrong part of town looking for their rental car. He also saw a pair of thugs looking to mug them. Sid ventured into the fray and ended up saving the family from what turned out to be a gun-wielding carjacker.

Sid thought nothing of it and went back to work… and then was stunned two days later when a reporter from the local TV station sought him out for an interview. He was a hero - a shining example of citizenship gone good. The ultimate Good Samaritan.

The press dubbed him the Sin City Savior and he became something of a local celebrity. Local wrestling promoter Darryl Styles saw something in Sid’s story, bringing him in for a meeting. He got the kid on the right path, helping him train for the ring.

After a brief stint of training, Sid hit the ring for Styles - he was a natural. And soon, the big leagues came calling.
