Physical Description

Yoshi possesses the striking good looks of a J-pop male idol, but unfortunately his pretty boy looks lead many to believe he is fragile or delicate. His face is characterized by sharp features, with piercing almond-shaped eyes that reflect his determination. He has medium-length, jet-black hair with voluminous layers and side-swept bangs. Yoshi's physique is a blend of muscularity and athleticism, though he still appears thin and lanky as he continues to grow into his body.

Personality

Yoshi is confident in his skills and abilities, but can come across as aloof or naive at times. He tries to maintain an air of seriousness and maturity, but is often thrown off or shocked by the absurdity and surrealism that comes with professional wrestling. He takes great pride in his family's wrestling heritage, honoring the traditions and techniques passed down to him. He is dedicated and disciplined, always seeking to improve himself both inside and outside the ring. Though reserved, he shows great respect for his opponents and values sportsmanship.

Biography & Background

From a young age, Yoshi was exposed to the world of wrestling. He idolized his older sister, Ayako, who became an Olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling. Inspired by her success, Yoshi began his own wrestling journey, starting with amateur wrestling at the age of 11. He quickly excelled and won several national tournaments as a teenager. At the age of 18, Yoshi transitioned to professional wrestling, making his debut in 2014. He traveled extensively, honing his skills by competing in various promotions across Japan, Mexico, and the United States. Yoshi's technical prowess, combined with his natural athleticism, garnered attention, and he gained a reputation for his expertise in applying the Fujiwara armbar.Yoshi's career reached a critical juncture in 2016 when he narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympic wrestling team. Although disappointed, he channeled his energy into refining his craft as a professional wrestler. Determined to establish his own legacy, Yoshi continued to train rigorously, expanding his arsenal of moves and developing a unique style that fused his family's techniques with his own innovation.

Strengths

1. Technical Proficiency - Yoshi's extensive training in amateur and professional wrestling has honed his technical and fundamental wrestling skills to a high level. He possesses great potential that he has yet to fully tap into.
2. Rises to the occasion - Yoshi has the nasty tendency to rise to his opponent's level, no matter the skill gap. He has a crazy fire within him that only the toughest and best opponents bring out of him. Thus, the bigger the match, the bigger the performance.
3. Determination: Yoshi's unwavering dedication to his craft fuels his desire for constant improvement. He possesses a strong work ethic and pushes himself to surpass his own limitations.

Weaknesses

1. Lack of Experience - Despite his undeniable talent, Yoshi is still relatively young and lacks the years of experience that seasoned veterans possess. This can occasionally lead to impulsive decision-making or being susceptible to unpredictable opponents.
2. Physique Development - While Yoshi is muscular and possesses exceptional athleticism, his lanky frame and ongoing growth can make him vulnerable against opponents who excel in power-based maneuvers.
3. Susceptible to mind games - Young and naive, Yoshi is vulnerable to psychological tactics or strategies.
